Within the once thriving mining town of St Austell an original chimney from Lovering’s Clay Dry still sits tall with the grounds. At its height, china clay mining was a huge industry in the area.

From your private parking space, a few steps take you into the house, where on the first floor you will find your holiday home. Once inside, you are greeted by a comfortable, inviting living room with three sofas so you will have plenty of space to stretch out and relax. The kitchen/dining room is a gloriously bright room, with an expansive set of angled windows with far reaching views. Within easy reach of your location is the world-famous Eden Project, a huge indoor rainforest and tropical gardens beneath state-of-the art-Biomes. The fascinating Wheal Martyn Clay Works Museum takes you back to the industry for which the area was recognised and revered globally. The beaches at Carlyon Bay, Duporth and Par have expanses of white to golden sand, coves and cliff top walks. Charlestown transports you back to a time when tall ships would depart to far off shores and still has a small fleet of these beautiful vessels today. Here there are restaurants and pubs, and the Shipwreck Museum is well worth a visit. St Austell has a large range of shops and eateries, whilst a little along the coast lies Fowey within an area Of Outstanding Natural Beauty. You will find narrow streets, boutique shops and superb architecture, superb sea views and its very own wonderfully named Readymoney Cove.
