Everything was new and clean. The area felt really safe (directly across the street from the police department). The breakfast was what you'd expect. The view is amazing. We stayed one night ON Mackinac Island and this was WAY better than that experience. This place was quiet inside and out, comfy bed, very spacious. I'd stay here again.

I would highly recommend Hampton Inn at St Ignace. We brought our two pups with us and they were welcomed with open arms. We were thrilled with our view of Lake Huron, and our chance to walk the dogs right on the lakeshore. The big lobby with the gorgeous view AND the nightly bar/bartender were added bonuses. We didn't take advantage of the pool, gym, or game room but if we had stayed longer, we definitely would have. Our room and ALL of the public areas were spotless!

Great location on the lake and a perfect place to enjoy the sunset and moon rise with a glass of wine. Perfect location for exploring Mackinaw city and for setting off for Mackinac Island.

When I got to the hotel, the front desk clerk thought i had checked in online, i hadn't. I was given a room that had the interior door block turned so I couldn't get in. I told thr clerk someone alse was in the room. She didn't believe me and came with me to openthe door but then the key card wouldn't work. She later still claimed that no one else should be in the room, even though she had already checked me into another room - a room with 2 queen beds, which was a cheaper rate than the king room I booked. Other wierd thing - the other guests in the room knew my name... said my name was on the tv when they arrived hours earlier. Something's really not right with their booking system.
