VRBO exclusive!!! This place is fully loaded. Local art, modern amenities and great location! This might be the smallest house from the outside but huge on the inside. The bunks are beyond the ships ladder. The couch has two fold outs. The basement has a garden setting and a laundry room for all of your needs. The mattress and pillow collections are top notch. The sheets are clean and the bathroom has a quaint size Jaccuzzi tub with shower and toilet paper!! Everything from hairdryers to ironing boards to soaps and more! Seriously fully loaded! The oven is perfect for pizzas or turkeys. The dishwasher actually washes dishes! The location is prime in this up and coming neighborhood close to downtown and everywhere you want to be. Sorry no locals and no parties. Security cameras are there for everyone’s piece of mind. Come stay in the fabulous fox park!!

Absolutely Misleading – Do Not Book!This was one of the worst booking experiences I’ve ever had. There were no exterior photos provided, and unfortunately, that should’ve been the first red flag. We had no idea what we were walking into – and honestly, we didn’t stay.Check-in was a disaster: We never received any instructions from the owner, not even on the day of arrival. We had to call VRBO after our check-in time to finally get access details. Completely unacceptable.When we arrived, the yard was a mess – grass completely overgrown, a full trash bag left sitting on the porch, and a roof patched with what looked like rubber sealant… and even that had holes. The entire place looked neglected.But what truly sealed the deal was the surrounding area. This property is in a very rough part of town, with run-down, abandoned buildings directly across the street. We witnessed vagrants going in and out of them while we were trying to decide whether it was safe to even unload our car. It wasn’t.Needless to say, we did not stay, and I wouldn’t recommend anyone else take the risk either. VRBO should reconsider listing this property.The inside may be wonderful like the pictures show; however, we didn’t even make it through the fence.

Disappointing Booking

Unsafe for children - The bedrooms lack doors and are up on a steep loft. The only other bedroom is in the bottom of a mold smelling basement.Unclean - there were pizza boxes out front. The floors were sticky. The property lacked toilet paper.

Nice home, not so nice area

The house was very fun and clean. All of the kitchen appliances worked. The upstairs bedrooms were warm when we got there but cooled off by the AC units inside the rooms. Everything about the house was great the only complaint was the area in which the house was in. All of the windows had metal bars on them so I wasn't worried about someone breaking into the home. However, I was worried about the safety of our car as it was parked out on a street that seemed unsafe with many people wandering.

Beware of booking

The property was as described funky! It was honestly cool as can be. However, unclean and several problems. We found trash and used towels under the kitchen sink, large and small bugs, we have bites all over us, dusty, not swept, couch was very dirty, smoke detectors covered with plastic bags, grass not mowed and trees over grown leaving the property to look like it was abandoned. Pizza boxes in front yard like someone was sleeping on them. Moldy musty basement bedroom, musty towels, lever to pull up in shower very difficult, door missing on the walk in jet tub. Did not get the code for the home until 2 pm the day of check in because it wasn’t ready, assuming by that statement someone was staying. But with everything we saw, I believe no one was there or if they were the person cleaning did a half a job at it. We booked for 2 nights but checked out of the property less than 24 hrs after arrival because it was not what we expected at all!!! I have requested a full refund from the owner as this place was GROSS!!!

Happy EnCAGEment weekend

I booked this place as a late birthday weekend with/concert with my partner; turned into a "we're getting married!" concert weekend. We're cage fiends and this was the perfect spot - esp since I didn't tell my partner and wanted him to go in blind. The listing was accurate, minus how steep the loft ladder stairs truly are. It was a little hard to find at first since the house numbers are on the porch behind some foliage. Check in was a breeze, clean space, excellent decor.

Disappointed and no lites

Was really looking forward to this stay at this vrbo with family. Had to ask for checkin details. Response hours later about being in a remote place. Arrived after dark on Thursday nite. Smelled like weed. No lights in bathroom, stairs to basement, or in lower bedroom. Checked the circuit breakers. None are labeled and none appear tripped. Msg to host. Hours later system said I had a msg but it didnt show up until Saturday afternoon. Host said the last storm knocked it out and he had just picked up a new breaker and could deliver at 3:00, supposedly on Friday. Got message on Saturday and never did have lights. NOTICE: host KNEW the circuit failed, there were no lights which created a safety factor, and still rented rhe space for 3 nights/4 days and no warning or advanced notice. A big safety risk and inconvenience. Try putting in contact lens, putting on makeup, doing hair, or brushing teeth in the dark. Had to vacuum the cobwebs out of one of the upper bedrooms after a family member got spider bites. This is NOT part of a bigger building. It is a stand alone brick room that is cleverly decorated. Friday nite heard 5 gunshots a few blocks away with police sirens responding. Yard is very overgrown. There is a backyard light that stays on all night like neighbors' apparently for safety. Left a day early. No one got a shower bc would have had to in the dark bc of a full schedule of activities. Never given checkout directions. Place needs some upkeep.

Fun property. Great location. Truly unique.

This is a good property in a great location. My son lives nearby and it’s a safe, quiet part of the city with good restaurants, bars, and attractions close by. It’s not luxurious, but it was fun and funky. I’ll definitely stay again. Jack was quick to answer questions. Only thing i would recommend to improve the stay is to get some Nicholas Cage DVDs to watch.

It’s a Treasure!

Really had a good time at this spot. Plenty of sleeping spots and a pretty well stocked kitchen. Of course the theming was the main reason we chose this space and it did not disappoint. There was a bit of communication difficulty when we had to change dates but I understand that wasn’t fully the fault of the host.

So cool!

My sisters live in different states, we're all spread out but needed some sister time and a break from our busy lives and crazy kids. This little loft seemed perfect. A space for each of us, a jet tub for relaxation, and nearby food and liquor store. This place was so cute and fun. We immediately loved it! We were crushed to see that the jet tub was not an option because the door was missing. It was about 85% the reason we chose this place. But, we still had an entire weekend to catch up and hang out and it was nice.

I wouldn’t stay here for safety concerns

My second night of the stay, someone broke into the vrbo. I had to call the police as I feared my life would be threatened. Thankfully the individual remained downstairs and left before the police could find them on the premises.

Could be a little cleaner but the overall is good it’s very chill, cool, and very interesting. Has a lot around it and everything is within 10 minutes.

So it was ok, nice house, the quirkiness of it i did love, however it wasn’t as clean as it could be. There was dust all on the tv stand. There was an old candy cane under the couch. Couch is stained. I just feel like if I’m paying a cleaning fee it should be clean. As well when we arrived there wasn’t any power. However I called Jack he hopped right into figuring out what was going on and he came back with a solution it was an outage and it was back up 30 mins later.

St. Louis overall wasn’t a vibe, the house inside was pretty cool. I wish the description showed the outside of the house and the location. It was very sketchy but thankfully nothing bad happened lol. My kids enjoyed all the Nicolas Cage stuff inside. Although we won’t be returning it was definitely decent for the price we paid.

Fun for a short stay.

Overall it was good, though the cleaning prior to us could've been better. Someones leftover over in a room, cobwebs, and dead bugs under one of the beds.Fun and easy place otherwise.

Funky loft

Being called the funky loft fits it perfectly. Waited til the day of like an hour before arriving to get any of the check in information. Once we arrived house looked extremely worn down and not very well taken care of. Part of a used tampon laying steps away from the stairs to the porch. Once inside half of the lights didn’t work.the door to make the shower a bathtub was missing. Floors dirty Bobby pins and other random items on the floor torn money left sticking out from under the rug. Upstairs window was wide open and one rom full of spiders. The room in the basement was dirty and spider webs everywhere. You walk out the back door into the back yard and find a trash can overflowing with trash. I reached out to the property manager and never once heard anything back from him at all. This is the absolute worse place I’ve ever stayed. We needed up leaving early and not staying the full time.

Great Place!

So unique and fun! Perfect for our family of 6 for a stop through. Wish the video game had lower volume - just reminding me how grateful I am for headphones The Nicolas Cage theme was hysterical, the loft perfect getaway, the arcade game was such a fun throw back. The place was, much bigger than appeared. Thanks for the fun, safe, clean place to recharge!

This place is INCREDIBLE!!! We have little kids, a teenager, a senior and two adults in the family and EVERYONE absolutely LOVED it! We can't wait to go back! This will definitely be our go to spot when visiting St Louis. The host was extremely communicative. There was plenty of space for everyone. It is decorated incredibly, everyone got a kick out of it!
