The South River Cottage

The 1940's Cabin sits just walking distance from the South River. It has a rustic feel but all modern amenities. There are 2 eating areas 1 inside and 1 outside with plenty of tables and chairs on the deck. 2 bedrooms with queen beds and a 3rd room with a twin/ trundle underneath. Also, a couch that pulls out to a full bed. A short walk from our front door is Arabia Mountain Trail. Great for biking or hiking .It feels remote here but close to everything. 35 minutes to airport. 10-20 minutes to Conyers, Covington and Mcdonough , 25 min to Stone Mountain and 30 minutes to Atlanta . The cabin is surrounded by woods in the country and is located at the end of a long gravel driveway. There are 2 homes on the property . I live in one and one is our rental. Homes are close. You have complete privacy of decks and back yard. We give our guests complete privacy. Self check in. We are nearby to help if needed. No parties allowed. No unlimited guest without permission. We have cats that lay all around. A small shy dog. We do allow pets . I do not allow pit bulls on my property. We do charge a pet cleaning fee of 50$ depending on type of dog and how many.
During your stay at this holiday home, you'll be close to Monastery of the Holy Spirit. You'll find features such as laundry facilities. The holiday home offers free WiFi and a kitchen.

This is our Second time having Misty as our host and we've Enjoyed both ! She's Always eager to help, Amenities are great, we highly enjoyed the 7 mile walking trail that's next to the house, along with the Basketball court and Playground that's behind the school on the other side of the house, Open to the Public. The cottage is very private but in a Great Location.We Loved It and Will definitely be back soon!Thanks Again, Misty for Having Us.

This location looks just like the pics. Very quiet, clean, and cozy. Plenty of furnished dishes, bottled water, snacks, and coffee. A friendly cat that sits on the front porch who loves people and Misty (the owner of the cottage) is quick to answer any questions. Will definitely be back.

Sweet Country Chic Home

Everything was spic and span and decorated so nicely in country shabby chic. Misty was quickly responsive to any requests. The kitchen was very well stocked and had a case of bottled water for us in the fridge. Our two pups enjoyed the secluded location for our walks but the restaurants were just a 10-15 minute drive.

False Advertisement - Renter Beware

Booking with this property has been a nightmare. We checked in to promptly find the hot tub listed was not on the property. We specifically booked this FOR the hot tub. Messaged the owner to find the hot tub broke down WEEKS prior to our stay, yet we were never made aware or given the chance to book somewhere else. The owner made zero attempts to make this right and we were forced to call Vrbo. Vrbo relocated us, however, the owner is now trying to say we stayed there and prevent us from getting a refund. We never stayed there. We were relocated to a hotel. Strongly suggest avoiding this property as they do not list what the property actually has and do not communicate with you if something goes wrong. Vrbo then will make it nearly impossible to obtain a refund that is rightfully owed. Should also mention there are bugs/bees galore at this cabin. Nothing is updated and the sheets are from Walmart (i would know, i had the same set in college). You're better off renting a hotel room.

Relaxing

My husband and our two dogs stayed for two days. The Cabin is located away from the hustle and bustle of the Atlanta area but is close enough to access. Quiet and relaxing. Close to a great walking trail which was awesome for me and my dogs! The cabin is set back from the road surrounded by woods, but is next to an elementary school/middle school complex. Our stay was at the start of summer. Beautiful area. We enjoyed our stay!

Great for families, great location.

We really enjoyed our stay, it was a perfect for our family. The location is great, an easy 30 minute drive into Atlanta and about an hour to Peachtree City. Our host was incredible, very informative and available if we needed anything. We would definitely stay here again.
