Very helpful staff. Pool sauna and steam room lovely. Room of a high quality and very clean. Food was very good value and much enjoyed.

The hotel needs renovation, there are areas that smell damp and need updating. Dining and bar area are nice and clean though. The hotel are still not servicing the rooms during the stay. This seems like cost cutting.

Needs some attention

I used this hotel as a travel stopover. The room was OK but was in need of some basic attention - it needed painting and was a bit tired. It seemed clean enough but the lack of refurbishment left you feeling that you probably would not need to look too closely to find dirt. The shower was very weak and the double bed was two singles wedge together which left me with a fear of falling down the considerable chasm that could be found between them. I did not get the chance to try the spa but the gym was very well equipped and I may visit again just for this. The bar was average with a good choice of food but the decor, tables and chairs could do with some thought / work.

Lovely hotel would recommend

Pros: Everything
Cons: Nothing
Location: The location was good ... We walked to a local pub and had a few drinks ... We went to West Midlands safari park
We had a warm welcome when we arrived and the receptionist told us where the facilities were etc . The room was perfect for us and our 2 grandchildren , had a lovely nights sleep a swim at 7 in the morning and topped it all off with a fantastic breakfast with lots of choice . We will def use this hotel again and make use of the sauna too .

Ideal for visiting west midlands safari park

People running giggling and laughing in the corridors after midnight not great with two children in the room taxi's beeping the horn at 6am again not great with children and the bed was so uncomfortable me and my husband hardly sept a wink kids beds seemed ok and the hotel in general was nice but the noice and beds was a real put off and £60 for breakfast for a family of four I think is over priced when they wanted to charge my children £15 each and on is only 6 silly prices

Never go back!

Cons: Cleanliness could be better. They have to lean how to clean the room more efficiently.
The cleanliness was terrible. The bathroom was just dried up but not cleaned with any detergent. So many mold spots even all over the shower head. It was red mold and could take it off with tissue paper. This means it has never really cleaned a room at all. The basin was also dirty with all oil and kalk. Water tub was also all around kalk and dust which seemed not cleaned more than a few months. Moreover the screw of the shower pipe was almost all gone. I informed about this problem to receptionist, but nothing made better. Next day the bathroom was same as even cleaning staff was inside of our room. This is NOT 4 star hotel at all. This could be NO star hotel. They should really think it again how to clean the room, otherwise nobody will use this hotel. Also hot water did not supplied in first day. It was really horrible after all long flight and finally could get into the room and tried to take a shower. There was no hot water. The receptionist did not even apologise at all. The hotel staff was not enough trained and each person said different things to check in. It was really disappointed hotel for us.
