Our stay at Naomi’s property was absolute perfection. We felt instantly at home as we had plenty of space to sprawl, it was clean and had everything we could possibly need. The seclusion was exactly what we needed to relax and unwind from our usually hectic lives. The location was perfect to all the local areas for day visits and plenty of lobster pounds to be found during our outings. The dock and swim area were great for our girls and my husband when he fished. The kayaks were great for all of us, especially the double seater making it easier to take our youngest out on the water where she often squealed with delight over the fish and animals. It was hard to leave this slice of heaven and we would most certainly come back if we find ourselves in Maine again. Naomi was great if we needed her and checkin/checkout instructions were easy to follow. Also, the two sets of washer/dryers was a treat as this mom of 3 didn’t have to spend her entire vacation chasing laundry. Thank you Naomi for making our bucket list trip unforgettable with your beautiful home.

Incredible Home!

Naomi's home is truly amazing. I have never stayed in a cleaner or more well-stocked home. Need a grater? It's there. A hair dryer WITH diffuser? She's got it. Hundreds of flat-bottom coffee filters? You bet.I was wary of the driving distance to some of the local Acadia and Bar Harbor attractions, but it wasn't bad at all. We set off pretty early each morning to ensure we had parking at the different locations. For instance, if planning to head to Jordan's Pond, leave the house by 7am!We had beautiful weather all but one day. That day. Be sure to get out to kayak, fish and enjoy the firepit. The days at home were so relaxing. We had a great time cooking meals and making s'mores and mountain pies. The pond was beautiful to wake up to with the sun's reflection each morning. We saw and/or heard plenty of wildlife at the house: a porcupine, deer, the infamous loon, bullfrogs, woodpeckers, owls. One morning I was looking out the front door and a hummingbird hovered there like it was waiting for me to feed it!You will not regret a second of the peaceful time you will have on this quiet pond. We are so happy we chose Mt View Lodge for our stay. Thank you to Naomi and family for your home and your hospitality!

Good week in June

Very nice house inside and out in a quiet wooded area. Beautiful view of the lake from the great room dining area. Well equipped and very clean. Awesome wrap around deck I spent much time on. Grandsons had a great time kayaking to the island and fishing. And a fire pit! The house was clean and fully stocked with all amenities/necessities that you would ever need. The pool table in the lower level was an added bonus..Made the short drive daily to pick up some the best oysters and lobsters in the world. The host was easy to work with and very accommodating. This is one of the best houses we ever rented. We enjoyed every single moment, are so grateful for this experience and hope to return.

This is a beautiful location and a beautiful property. The house is fully stocked with dishes, pots and pans, garbage bags, condiments, spices, a mixer…the list could go on and on. We enjoyed our stay but be aware it is a 30 - 45 minute drive to most places and attractions. Very rural, but very quiet and peaceful.

A Secluded Retreat with Resort-Like Accommodations.

From creating and maintaining the wonderful view of the pond from the wrap around porch, to filling the shampoo and body soap conditioners in the showers, it’s easy to see that the owners pay attention to every last detail. This place is as close as you can get to an all-inclusive stay. It’s just missing a chef. The owners ensure you will have many memory making opportunities with all the amenities for activity they provide. We only stayed in the Summer. It a wonder what the other seasons have to offer.

Beautiful Maine Woods

Very nice place in what I would call a lake but apparently Maine labels them as ponds. Quiet, off the beaten path cabin not too far from Bar Harbor/Acadia National Park but far enough away to avoid the hustle and bustle. To quote my brother “This place is awesome and I would stay here again 100 percent.”

Amazing vacation home

We had a terrific stay at this beautiful home. The house was beautifully decorated and the views of the lake were spectacular. We really enjoyed the kayaks, fishing poles, and the fire pit. With a family of 6 we had plenty of space to enjoy each other’s company but also had enough room to spread out for quiet time. The hosts were very helpful with places to visit even stopping by to offer additional kayaks and fishing poles if needed. They were responsive and accessible and made check-in and check-out a breeze. I would love to visit Maine again and would definitely stay at this home!

Amazing House on the Pond!

This house was amazing! Beautiful home on the water, everything was sparkling clean, everything you think you need is there! We had a family of 9 and had plenty of space to sleep, eat, play games, and relax by the water. The kayaks were a bonus as was the whole house generator, which was great during a power outage due to a storm. We were about an hour from Bar Harbor and Acadia, which is where we spent most of our days. Closer was Tidal Falls to explore at low tide and Schoodic Peninsula was a beautiful and quiet spot to climb rocks and even picnic by the ocean. Best food: Geddy’s in Bar Harbor for their haddock and the best blueberry pie! Also go to Momo’s Cheesecake to get any flavor of the best cheesecake! We enjoyed the puffin/lighthouse tour with Bar Harbor Whale Watch Co. & Diver Ed’s was so much fun! We truly loved every moment spent together at this beautiful house and would love to return someday!

Perfect, quiet, well appointed home!

My wife and I stayed at the home with another couple and we were extremely pleased with our choice. First, the owner was extremely responsive and provided a home that was so clean and stocked with items that it allowed us to have an excellent six days touring the area. The property was 15+ minutes from Ellsworth and it was a very private site. The home was situated on a rise above the lake with a beautiful view. We thoroughly enjoyed the fire pit down by the lake and wish we’d had more time to enjoy the property. It was everything we had hoped and more. Whenever we had questions, the owner answered by text in a very timely manner. If we are in that part of the country again, that will be our place to stay.

This property is even better than the pictures posted! It was clean, very spacious and well stocked. We enjoyed early mornings on the deck overlooking the water and evening’s making s’mores around the fire. Location was an easy ride to Acadia and other points of interest. No need to travel to Ellsworth for supplies and food as the local market had everything we needed. One of the best properties we have stayed at!
