Sunburst Locust Cabin

Sunburst Locust Cabin has a great room area with a combined kitchen, dining, and living room. This roomy cabin is a great place for a family retreat. This cozy cabin has been finished with beautiful knotty pine walls. Included is a large stone wood-burning fireplace and an auxiliary gas furnace for your year-round enjoyment. The large built-in kitchen includes a microwave, electric stove, refrigerator, toaster, regular drip coffee maker, and a one-cup Keurig coffee pot, as well as dishes, cooking utensils, and silverware.

The living room in the cabin has satellite TV, a DVD player, one couch, two chairs, and a wood-burning fireplace. Sleeping arrangements include two bedrooms on the first floor, each with one queen bed, and one bedroom in the loft. The loft has one queen bed and two single beds. Your bed linens are furnished for the bedrooms. There is a bathroom with a shower on the first floor. You will need to furnish your own towels for your showers and your own paper products.

Sunburst Locust Cabin is on over one acre of land and includes an outdoor picnic area with a fire pit, lawn furniture, picnic tables, and a charcoal grill. The large wrap-around deck is partially under roof and partially exposed to the sun. This wonderful deck around the cabin gives you an outdoor place to relax while watching the plentiful wildlife in Cook Forest State Park. Guests have seen black bears many times from this deck!

There is an additional smaller cabin that comes with the main cabin, with some restrictions. The main cabin sleeps up to eight in the three bedrooms. The Annex, the second cabin, sleeps up to seven. The Annex consists of a large room and a bathroom. The large room has four beds, sleeping up to seven persons, and is for overflow guests of the main cabin. The Annex contains kitchen cabinets with an apartment-sized refrigerator, a microwave, and a coffee pot. In addition, there is a kitchen table with chairs. The outside porch of this Annex has a picnic table and chairs. When reserving for your group, this additional space is at the rate of $150 per stay, plus tax. For whatever number of persons you have in your reservation, the Annex remains at the same rate of $150 plus tax for your stay.

Sunburst Locust Cabin offers its guests barbecue grills. The front desk is open around the clock.
