Enjoy a canal-front getaway that is full of peace and serenity at Sea Schulz. You'll have access to a floating boat dock for swimming, kayaking, and boating, while beach access is within easy walking distance! This lovely house features a well-equipped kitchen with a dishwasher, microwave, and other small appliances. There is also a nice dining and living area for everyone to enjoy! Other amenities include central air conditioning, a private washer/dryer, ceiling fans in all rooms, a covered porch with rockers, enclosed outside shower.

*This dock at this home is 15 feet. The water at low tide in the canal varies, but maneuvering a boat should be easy (if the boat isn't too large). No ropes or buoys are provided. Guests may swim in the canal!

Fun at our favorite beach!

We have been coming to Holden Beach for 30 years. It is our very favorite! Up until this trip we were able to stay at a wonderful house owned by extended family. But it was recently sold. We were pleased with the Sea odyssey. Definitely has weathered many summers and is showing it's age. Although outdated we loved its roomy floor plan and beach accessibility. Our family of 10 ( grandparents children, and grandchildren ) had a wonderful time!

I need a receipt for my fees

Price was good for condition of property mgt. Property Management was terrible could not get in for over an hours due to door issues with lock and contacting vacasa. Everything was done by text over cell phone finally reached person who took forever making us go through the process we knew would not work and you really could not use locks or keys for the house.

Disappointing

We have stayed in vacation homes many years. We have even stayed in third world countries and not had as many issues as we did at the Sea Odyssey. First, the pictures were somewhat deceiving. The furniture actually looked a lot more worn in person, Then, we had issues throughout the week. The first day, there was a nail protruding out of the carpet on the stairs. Out grandson got a 2" scratch on his leg. We were able to remove the nail and reported this issue. That same night, one of the upstairs bathrooms had a tub that would not drain. The tub drain was clogged with a lot of hair. Again, we were able to fix the problem and reported it. The second day, we reported roaches downstairs. An exterminator came the next say. However, we continued to see roached downstairs in the bedroom, bathroom, and kitchen. We also saw roaches in a bathroom and bedroom. We purchased roach spray but the problem continued. A heating and air contractor came to look at the recently installed air conditioner unannounced. We did check with Vacasa to be sure this was legitimate. After that someone called about coming to install a dishwasher the next day for 2 hours. They would have been coming the fourth day of our stay and we had experienced issues for three days. We explained that it wasn't necessary at that point. Again, this was a disappointing stay for the amount of money we paid for this vacation. We have never experienced anything like this before. We feel that we are due a refund.

Very Enjoyable

Our week at the beach at this house was very enjoyable. The house and all its amenities met all of our needs very nicely. Even though it's an older style beach house and could use some cosmetic sprucing up (i.e., new paint outside on the house would be nice), it's a very comfortable, homey house that has clearly stood the test of time well. Our group (family) had no complaints and would recommend staying there.

We arrived at the property and noted the lack of upkeep almost immediately. Additionally the upstairs bathroom leaked into the kitchen light fixture. We called the emergency number and never received a call back. The longer we stayed the more work we noted the home needed. Not to mention that you could literally feel the house sway!

Great location, just fix the windows.

We loved the location and the view and beach access. The house is old and needs a few repairs, especially the windows. I crushed my hand trying to open a window in the dining area because the top came crashing down on my hand when I turned the locks. (This was after turning off the air conditioning as required by the posted notice.) Other windows wouldn't open at all. Letting in the cool ocean breezes was the intent. We managed by just opening the doors. Otherwise, we loved the old beachy house and would rent again. It was very comfortable and we loved the house. Just please fix the windows.

Family friendly beachfront house

We enjoyed our stay in this old style beach front house at Holden Beach. The house is well loved, well equipped and was very comfortable for our family vacation. Our only complaint would be the quality of the mattresses and linens, but we would definitely stay there again.

Sea Odyssey

This house was perfect for our family of 7. My grandparents had a beach house for many years and sold it. Sea Odyssey was like stepping back in time, it felt and smelled like my Grandparents old home. The decor is dated and it could use minor updates but it reminded me of old HB, even though HB hasn't changed much in the years we have been going. Linens were provided for us but we brought extra blankets to cover couches and snuggle with. I would only recommend the owner stock 1 or 2 new frying pans. We really had no complaints, there was plenty of room, and we were comfortable. We hope to come here again!

house is functional but needs major overhaul

Great location (end of the beach).....this is a nice house but needs alot of updating. The kitchen is small but functional. the drawers are falling apart, the stove is old and needs to be replaced. Washer/dryer/dishwasher work fine. Plenty of dishes/silverware/pots/pans/griddle available. The a/c works great and keeps the house nice and cool (1 upstairs and 1 downstairs). They have 2 charcoal grills in the garage area which look beat up, but when cleaned up, work just fine. The bedrooms/bathrooms are adequate, but the bedspreads really need to be replaced. unfortunately, we found cockroaches on the floor in every room, but being at the beach, that is to be expected. The deck is in fairly good condition, and the rocking chairs are a nice addition. I would rent this house again as long as changes were made.
