Don’t judge a book by its cover. Yes, it doesn’t look much from the outside, but work has been done on the inside to modernise the property. Rooms were spacious, clean and had a big, comfortable bed. It was quiet and there are plenty of places to eat close by. Parking was easy at the hotel, but do not follow the website interaction to each the carpark as the road you are directed to passed specsavers is now a no entry. If you arrive and are looking directly at the hotel follow the road around to the right of the hotel and take the first road on the left for the car park. Only one small working lift when we stayed, but we were on the 2nd floor so the stairs weren’t an issue. Shower screen did not have a seal onto the bath so flooded the bathroom when used, but this has been noted by the staff for a repair. Pleasant enough stay for a few nights.

Check-in and check-out were incredibly quick and hassle-free, which made the whole experience smooth from the start. The room had everything I needed, and the bath and shower were both perfect - clean, modern, and really relaxing. I also had a lovely view over Swansea, which was a nice bonus. All in all, a great stay, and I’d be more than happy to come back again. Highly recommended!

Was up all night the first night as the people staying above were screaming and jumping around. I think the homless stay there. I was thete for work and wasnt anle to sleep until 4am up at 7 for work. The 2nd night was the same. The price wasnt cheap

Probably one of the worst hotels I've ever stayed at. Staff were friendly on arrival, but never saw anyone else during my 4 day stay. Room was only cleaned once during that time, with minimum effort. Will definitely not be staying again.

The hotel is close to both the town centre and the railway station It is very dated and in desperate need of renovation. Only one of the two tiny lifts was working, the lifts are really only suitable for 2 people. The bedroom had peeling wall paper and paint, the carpet and curtains were stained, The mattress was worn out and lumpy, the shower curtain rail was rusty. I wouldn't stay at this hotel again before it had a total makeover.

I like that I can get a room on a higher floor and have a view of the sea. The room is very clean. I appreciate that the staff call me a taxi as I have to leave very late at night to take a bus to the airport. I live in Canada, and I stay at the Dragon every time I come home on holidays and when I leave. I trust that everything will be ok when I stop off there on my journey and it always is.

Dragon Needs A Lift

Great location for a Swansea Centre gig night (thank you Manics, you were amazing as always). Room (401) was functional but tired decor wise...the mattress was softer than I'm used to but the night was very quiet and that supported a decent night's sleep. Breakfast was tasty, particularly excellent sausages. The one (of two) functioning lifts wasn't functioning on Sunday morning - those four flights toting a full trip bag was a pain but manageable for this 69 year old...other guests at breakfast might have found it more problematic.
