Travellers beware... don't make the same mistake as I did. Hotel is nothing as advertised. Pros: - Staff were friendly. - Hotel provides free drinks and snacks. You can also get free cup noodles at night. - Very good location right at Ximending. Cons: - Not clean. Room has a horrible musty smell. - Very old rooms, wallpaper look like they're about to peel off. Mold everywhere. Honestly looks like a DIY project to convert space into hotel. - When taking a shower, water doesn't drain properly. - Not allowed to flush toilet paper. All toilet paper must be disposed in dustbin. Not only that, you have bring the dustbin outside the room to be emptied. - Poor piping system. Inconsistent flow of water from faucet. - Very poor soundproofing. You can hear everything in the hallway. - Shared elevator with other businesses/hotels. Some floors can be freely accessed by random people as no need to tap room card to get to the floor. - Price per night is quite expensive. Not worth it. We cannot recommend this hotel to anyone who plans to visit Taipei. Room was so unpleasant that we had to last minute book another hotel (even knowing that we won't get a refund at Muzik). So beware......

Good location of Hotel

Love that the hotel is just 5 mins walk from Ximen mrt and also the free drinks that you can help yourself to at the reception area. However the hotel does not seems to be properly cleaned. The floor is dusty and there is even a leftover cake in the fridge, probably by the previous tenant. It will be good if the floor is carpeted. Also, the bath tub is very high and it is not that easy to get in and out of it especially for the elderly or those who are injured or have condition.

The room was spacious and comfortable. Housekeeping is fair, towels can be changed upon request, though bed linen can only be changed once depending on number of days of stay. Location is perfect - close to convenience stores, bus and train stations, and shops including Ximending night market. Overall a good stay!
