I was a bit apprehensive due to the exterior of the building and having to travel up an old lift to get to the hotel reception but I was pleasantly surprised. It felt safe, it was clean and had good value amenities for the price of the room. I would stay here again if I was in Taipei.

Overall good stay but bad for light sleeper

Room was clean and spacious. The three of us can move around the room comfortably and there were two king sized beds which can easily sleep 4 guests. The only downside is the soundproofing of the hotel walls. During the last night of our stay, the guests next door were making a lot of noise that we can still hear even after putting on the complimentary earplugs provided by the hotel. The noise continue to bother us till 1am. Called the front desk twice but they were not able to provide us assistance effectively. Wish the hotel can help to ensure that guests are not making too much noise so that other people living on the same floor can rest well.

Hotel has a strict late check-out policy that was NOT clearly explained to guest from the start (during check-in). Caused confusion and hassle during check-out. Bedsheets, pillows and some toilets amenities were never clean, with visible stains and dirt.
