This is a tough one because if you are looking for an upscale hotel, this is not it. You do get what you pay for and for 99$ a night, it was what I expected. We came for the beach and it was amazing. Beautiful, quiet and relaxing. The hotel is a little run down and dated, but it seems like they are working on improving it. My kids loved the beach, pool and hot tub. The room smelled pretty musty and I noticed mildew but the beds were clean, and we only really used the room to sleep and shower. The cleaning staff was very friendly. Lots of people were outside partying on the weekend at the picnics tables but they didn't bother us and it was very quiet during the week. If you are looking for a cheap place to crash after the beach, this is a great option. I wasn’t sure at first but after 3 days, decided I would stay here again potentially in the future.

Took 4 tries to the front counter to get cards to open door. Urine on toliet seat(lots), food crumbs in the bed; had to ask for clean sheets; which my wife changed; no help offered. Lamp not plugged in; had to search for outlet behind bed. Room was obviously not properly cleaned. We wanted to leave immediately but were refused a refund. Don't waste your money on this place.

This property has several pictures on the listing that were deceiving. Most of the hotels in this area are extremely dated/run down. You are paying for the beautiful beach and lake. Our room 106 had 2 lights that we could never get to go on, a panel on the wall that was falling down, and a mini fridge that only worked part of the time. The staff was friendly. Easy access to canoe rentals.

Older dated hotel, acceptable cleanliness. Comfortable beds, mini fridg w freezer was useful. Indoor pool & hot tub looked clean & both good temps, too hot for a try tho. The beach is huge & beautiful on Lake Huron, made daily surf walks so enjoyable. Close to downtown Oscoda for food & a few shops (our favs Hilltop Pub & Moon & Stars gift shop); canoeing the Ausable River; bike trails & hiking (our fav is Largo Springs)

What I did not like is one not having a phone in my room to call front desk if I had to two lack of maintenance to the room there is dust bunnies and dirt and dirty stuff underneath the bed my door coming into my room rubs on the door frame so bad it's hard to open and close and there's cigarette butts all over in the parking lot and sidewalk nobody told us the Wi-Fi password beds very uncomfortable our rooms smell like a wet dog had laid in the beds not happy at all either is my wife I would not go back there ever again not for the kind of money I paid for it.

I didn't like the unsecured entry. Also the weekly rate is $349 and charged for 2 nights $393 doesn't seem right. Hotel needs to be updated. Hot tub was hot but jets were not working. Carpet throughout the facility needs to be clean.

The location is great! The Paul was nice. The hot tub was broken. We were supposed to have a room for five, but it only was for 4 at most. Sleeping space was tight. It was still a good time.

There was a mix up in our reservation, we thought the hotel staff had fixed our two night stay. When we came back the next afternoon we were locked out of our room. We had to call the police to get our belongings. Hotel staff lied about correcting our reservation.

I do not recommend unless you enjoy urine smell

It was a nice stay. The gentleman at the front desk was absolutely AMAZING! Very informative and was able to multitask like it was no one’s business. I’m a CNA and don’t know how he did it. DEFINITELY deserves a raise! We found our room very easy and the key card worked about 75% of the time but as far as that it was great. Until we got into our room. The sheets looked like they haven’t been washed in months. Oily fingerprints and smears everywhere. The outlets were so weak that the phone chargers would fall out. The fridge never got cold and we turned it up all the way. We didn’t have much toilet paper left in our room. Mattresses were so bad that even if you sat down it felt like you sat on a trampoline. You bounced every which way. Comforters and sheets smelled really bad. The pool area reakes of urine and feces. It was pretty bad.

The only good thing was the beach!

Awful experience! Room was musty smelling and the carpet was very damp.Mattress was too small for bed frame and my husband kept hitting his leg on it. See photos. Room was dusty and dirty. Found pet and pubic hairs. Multiple dogs in rooms and they were barking frequently. Smell of marijuana on premises. Front-desk staff did not communicate well. Stayed for 2 nights and got locked out second day and had to have new cards made. No apologies. We had several friends stay here who also had terrible experiences. We will not be back! We will likely not ever use hotels.com again. What a terrible experience.
