During my stay the main elevator that was working failed trapping a few guests in it. The group I was with was rather large and the ability to go up and down 11-12 floors was horrible.

Hotel itself was fine. The room was supposed to be handicapped accessible but it was not. The bathroom door not wide enough for my chair to fit. The breakfast was very good.

The building is honestly weird, but i like that. The room was really outdated, but it was very clean. The price was good, the staff were very nice. The elevator is super slow and tiny, but it worked. The other one was out of service and the stairs are terrifying (yikes). The little pool was clean and relaxing. The original building is quirky and cool. They should play it up. The tower is odd, and could use a facelift. Breakfast was basic but lovely and i really like the fountain and old facade. Its an older building and upkeep is tough. Overall i really had a good stay. A little money thrown into it could bring this property back to its glory days and market it to play up its weird Casa Bonita kind of quirk - this place could be a vintage jewel.

The hotel has a good breakfast and the staff is nice. Parts of the hotel looks pretty dated though and two of the elevators were not working. One has been undergoing 'modernization' for several months.

There was nothing to like. Had to change rooms 3 times in one day. Room 103 smelled like a filthy cat litter. Room 2 dirty sheets broken clothes rack. Room three remote didn't work. Was told by staff to just get up and turn the TV on and off manually and the volume. Day two no coffee at breakfast. Had to go to the front desk to get some. No extra sheets or towels. Not once did they ask if we needed clean towels or toiletries nor did they clean the room in 5 days. Never again. Beware of room 112 also. Smells like dog feces. Horrible experience. We went to Topeka to retrieve my husband's father who passed away. to get him cremated and take him home. This experience was worst than the hell we were already going through. Would have given 0 stars if we could.

Main area was very nice. Hotel room floors need updating - carpet very old which make it look dirty all the time. Only 1 elevator was working the 1st half of our stay and then on the last day both were down. We had to take a freight elevator to our room on the 11th floor.

My stay would have been a 5star except the elevators were an issue. First only one of 2 elevators was operating by day 3 neither was working. I am slightly immobile requiring a Walker to get me from one point to another Due to elevator issues I was directed to the Freight elevator as my only means to room on 5th floor or take stairs. An ordeal for me but I managed
