The location is towards one end of the Strand. Some evening noise, from the adjacent venue, and from the occasional noisy car or motor bike, interrupted the generally quiet area. The internet was extremely slow.

I have been going to the Aquarius for 15 years, at least 2-3 times a year. This is normally for work, which is one of the reasons I like the Aquarius - once I leave the CBD and sit on the balcony with one of the best views in Townsville, all stress dissapears. The service is always attentative. Overall the rooms are clean, comfortable and regularly service.

Room was okay. View was fantastic, location was top notch. Third night night, the fire alarm activated at 3am due to a faulty sensor. Nothing was explained to us and no apology offered. If you inconvenience someone, then offer a free coffee.
