Fal River Cottage is a small, dog-friendly, traditional cottage, which benefits from the most amazing river views. It is based in Malpas (near Truro) and is just three doors down from the very popular Heron Inn.

The cottage itself dates to the 1800's and was tastefully renovated in 2019, offering traditional features alongside modern-living luxuries.

To the front, there is a small decked area which is ideal for alfresco breakfasts. This leads into the lounge, which is well equipped with a log burner, TV, books and games. To the rear of the cottage there is a new kitchen/dining area, which is well equipped for home cooking.

Upstairs, there are two bedrooms, which share a traditional ‘Jack'n'Jill' bathroom. There is a spacious and light double bedroom allowing you to watch the river as you lie in bed. The second bedroom is a cozy single, which also serves as access to the rear garden.

There are steep stairs leading to the rear garden featuring two separate seating areas, which both benefit from the amazing river views. The upper level is great for kicking back and lying down on those hot summer days when a little shade is welcome. The lower, patio area is more open and offers comfortable seating, perfect for relaxing in the tranquil surroundings of Cornish countryside.

Perfect cottage,stunning location

Our 2 night stay at the cottage was perfect, everything was exactly as described and what a stunning view! We were lucky with weather so could sit outside for breakfast and were joined by a very friendly Robin, couldn’t have asked for a nicer property or a mire lovely weekend 😊

Character cottage with stunning views

We enjoyed a fabulous break in this small but beautifully appointed fully modernised cottage. Well located for Truro, with access to river and pretty walks. Ideal for a couple or small family; a range of options being available to relax and enjoy the stunning scenery. Parking not always the easiest, but can be managed with a little patience and good humour. Without doubt we will look to visit again. At all times, owner informative & helpful, promptly answering messages. Excellent Cornish weather was a bonus, but an ideal rental to enjoy the varied delights of both the north and south coasts. An excellent pub only doors away completed the package.

Amazing view

We could have sat and looked at the view all day! Property was really lovely. The Amazon Prime and BT Sport was a real bonus. Only difficulty was the parking as the road very narrow and you have to be good at manoeuvring your vehicle to park! However, saying that we always got a space.

A stunning location with a beautiful cottage

Peace and tranquility with a view to die for. The cottage is well equipped and a very up to date with modern furnishings. The decking at the front of the cottage is a great place to relax and watch the boats and coastal birds.

Beautiful cottage, charming and clean, 10 meters away from a nice pub. Limited parking a, but at the end of October no problem at all.
