Rentoudu pÀivÀn jÀlkeen hiihtoa, patikointia tai Taosta tutkimalla hammaspyörÀ-, kataja- ja ponderosa-mÀntyjen keskuudessa Sangre de Criston juurella, Taosin ja Taoksen hiihtolaakson vuoren vÀlissÀ. Nauti viileistÀ, virkistÀvistÀ tuulista ja vuoristomaisemista tÀstÀ korotetusta, hiljattain rakennetusta (2003) 3+ makuuhuoneen talosta, jossa on takka, poreallas, laaja katettu kuisti ja makuuhuoneissa, joissa on omat parvekkeet. TÀydellinen loma ympÀri vuoden!

Suunniteltu ja suuntautunut maksimoimaan nÀkymÀt, tÀssÀ kÀsityönÀ valmistetussa, rÀÀtÀlöityssÀ, savuttomassa kodissa on kaiverretut kattokatot, hirsipuut ja perinteinen pohjoinen New Mexico-siirtomaa-tyylinen viistokatto. Yksi niistÀ on kauniit nÀkymÀt Taos Ski Valley -vuorelle, ja se on varustettu queen-vuoteella. Toisessa on kaksi kerrossÀnkyÀ ja valinnainen futon-parivuode lisÀvieraille. Koko ensimmÀisessÀ kerroksessa on vigas, katettu katto, ja ranskalaiset ovet avautuvat suurelle etelÀiselle kannelle. Kylpyhuoneessa on iso amme, jonka ikkuna kehittÀÀ nÀkymÀn mÀntyihin. Olohuoneessa on iso takka rentoutumiseen ennen mölyttÀvÀÀ tulta. Olohuoneessa on myös queen-size-vuodesohva ylimÀÀrÀistÀ makuutilaa varten. Houkuttelevassa keittiössÀ on Jenn-Air-mallisto ja graniittilaatat, ja se on tÀysin varustettu useimpiin ruoanvalmistustarpeisiin.

Nauti pitkÀn pÀivÀn vaikutukset ulkona olevan porealtaan rinteillÀ. Taos Ski Valley on lÀhellÀ, ja Angel Fire on lyhyen ajomatkan toiseen suuntaan. Talvella lumi peittÀÀ kiinteistön usein ja ajotieltÀ lÀhellÀ on lasten kelkkailu. Tuo kesÀllÀ maastopyörÀsi tutkimaan polkuja, joille pÀÀset suoraan talomme.

A peaceful and serene getaway. The road to get to the house was a little rough and quite narrow in some areas. The basement which houses the laundry room and more beds smelled musty and seemed to be "unfinished." Cooking sheets and outside of some frying pans had a heavy buildup of grime. Overall experience was quite nice and my grandchildren enjoyed the ping pong table. Thank you, Juan!

Pleasant stay in peaceful location

We enjoyed the quiet location just 25 minutes from Taos. Earlier reviews indicate that most people book during the winter months. Since there is no A/C and no screens on the 4 french doors and some windows and blinds do not open properly, it was difficult to move air throughout the main and upper floors even with the aid of the fans and closing blinds during the day during our 10 day June stay...so the cooler months would be more comfortable time to stay. The owner is very responsive to calls/texts (no functioning ice maker, backed up toilets, propane leak) but we wished these items had been taken care of prior to our arrival. The kitchen is well-stocked with a few exceptions (6 bowls for a home that can hold large family groups and just a few wine glasses). The kitchen needs a deep clean as does the grill (despite burning the grease off). The covered front porch and spacious rear deck were ideal. We loved the warm tub - better than a hot tub on hot days - and the large dining room table (cushions on the hard chairs and bench would be a welcome addition). Beds and linens were comfortable. Condition of the exterior and grounds need attention. Overall, we would rate this property as an 8 and our host as a 10.

Taos Mountain Cabin

We had a great time at the cabin. The views were beautiful and enjoyed the hot tub and ping pong table after a day of skiing. About a 20 minute drive to the ski mountain.

Taos Ski Stay

Great stay near Taos

We stayed at Casa Dos Burros for a ski trip to Taos Ski Valley. It had plenty of beds for a larger group and plenty of bathrooms to accommodate. The basement area was larger than I expected, which was great for containing the dogs we brought with. Juan was very responsive and answered all of my questions thoroughly. I would highly recommend for a group trip to the area.

Can't wait to go back!

We fell in love with the NM mountains and can't wait to go back! Juan's house was just what we needed, off the beaten path and quiet. There were 6 of us 16 - 60 years old and we had plenty of room. The kitchen is well equipped with two crockpots, griddle, two coffee pots (one keurig style), toaster over......we also used the outdoor grill! We definitely ventured out to eat and high recommend Abes, Taos Cow, Guadalajara Cafe, Michael's Kitchen, La Cueva Cafe and taos Brewing ! So much to do in the area we did Red River horseback riding and Los Rios white water rafting! This was a fantastic vacation and have already recommended Juan's house to a couple friends! Can't go wrong if you stay here!

Supremely comfortable; fantastic location

We stayed for a week with a mix of skiing and local sightseeing. The location is perfect for both Taos ski valley and Taos village with the house itself hugely comfortable, spotlessly clean and with excellent support from Ioan. We’d love to come back!

Family ski holiday

Stayed here after a week in Pagosa Springs with my wife, three grown children, theirs spouses and five grandchildren. Four baths on three levels made this much easier. Great sunset views across the valley. Lovely meals together around big table with family game night afterwards. Cell phone service was weak but internet service was adequate for my children to keep work responsibilities covered.

Perfect for a family getaway

My 3 teenage sons and I spent a week here and it was wonderful. The deck off the kitchen had amazing views of the Taos valley, we felt like we were in our own private sanctuary. We came during Covid, so we barely left the property, but the teens were happy to play ping pong, get in the well maintained hot tub or build a fire in the fire pit. Our dog loved it as well. The kitchen was well equipped for cooking and had many extras like spices. It was just the 4 of us, so there was a basement room with 4 beds (not mentioned in the description) that we did not use. I am not sure if that area to be rented separately someday, as it seems to be under renovations. The master is quiet nice, as are the two rooms upstairs. As a bonus, we hiked down into the ravine behind the house and found it let between the other homes for miles. It was our own private trail, which during COVID was what we wanted. We will definitely be back.

Incredible Mountain View’s!!!!

The cabin was even better and bigger in person than what the pictures online showed. There are also 2 washing machines so you can do laundry quickly. The mountain views from the cabin are amazing and can be seen from multiple areas of the cabin. Juan was very responsive to any questions I had during our stay and was a great host. Please note that if you are coming to stay at the cabin during the winter then you will need to have an all-wheel drive vehicle. We had one so no problems. If you are looking for a spacious, clean, well equipped cabin to relax and see beautiful mountain view’s then this is the place for you!

Beautiful and peaceful

Juan’s place was perfect. We visited Taos ski valley, Red River, and Taos all while looking forward to relaxing at Juan’s home afterward. The location is peaceful and secluded while convenient to the entire area. The space is very comfortable with a full kitchen/grill and incredible views from just about every window!

beautiful place, we loved it!

The house is very large and has all the comforts, ideal for the family, wonderful mountain location, we really enjoy sharing with the family in this place. very close to the town and easy to reach, the owner is very friendly and helped us during the stay, definitely highly recommended 😊

Lovely quiet stay with an incredible view!

Easy check in, comfortable and plenty of space. Loved the view from the deck. Hot tub was clean and relaxing after a long day in Taos. Juan was easy to communicate with when we had questions. Overall a wonderful stay!
