The hotel was clean, the room was comfortable for me although my husband found the bed uncomfortable. The bathroom had a bad layout; it was narrow so the door was almost touching the sink when fully open and it would block the tub. However, I appreciated that the bathroom was clean.
The staff that checked us in were very courteous and helpful, the rest of the days we didn’t notice any extraordinary hospitality from the front staff; the gentleman who checked us out barely made eye contact or thanked us for staying or asked us if we enjoyed our stay.
The atmosphere of the hotel was good. Unfortunately, much of the area around the hotel has a huge problem with homeless and drug addicts on the streets. It was very sad and disturbing to see. Many of the streets around the hotel were dirty and smelly.
Other than issues with the surrounding area, the location was actually quite perfect with a lot of places on interest within walking distance. Lots of restaurants and cafes in the area and close to the harbour.
Overall, the hotel was good and I would stay there again.
