PROS: The views & customer service. CONS: The walls are thin, you’ll hear everything. The occupants above us were walking around all night & early morning & kept us up. Literally, no rest. The only relaxing time is sitting on the pool loungers with ocean views. The shower water pressure is very low. The shower handle was broken.

One cannot beat the intimate visit with the ocean while dining or staying at the Cliffhouse Inn. The hotel is old, so the rooms are not Hilton standard, but they are cozy and comfortable. The food prepared at the Shoals restaurant on the premises is outstanding, whether for lunch or dinner. The wildlife is fun, including Seagulls, Sparrows, Rock Squirrels, Night Herons, Hummingbirds, pelicans, and dolphins - sometimes all in one visit!

The location is amazing situated right next to the ocean with a large pool and good restaurant on site. The room was spacious and comfortable although it could use some touch ups and updating. We needed a microwave and hair dryer as well as some toiletries like lotion.The complementary breakfast on Sunday was a freshly prepared, complete meal. Staff were very friendly and helpful.

A Breathtaking Location with Exceptional Service The Cliff House Inn on the Ocean offers a truly unbeatable experience, primarily driven by its spectacular location and the quality of its staff and dining. The Pros: Service and Culinary Excellence The service here is the gold standard. Every staff member was genuinely agreeable and friendly, making us feel incredibly welcome throughout our stay. This high level of attention extended to the on-site restaurant, which was truly high-level. The food and dining experience were standout features of the trip. The biggest highlight, however, is the setting itself—the location is simply fantastic and offers breathtaking ocean views. The Cons: Room for Updates While the location and service are five-star, the rooms could definitely benefit from updating. The decor and furnishings feel a bit dated, which contrasts with the premium experience offered by the rest of the hotel. This is the only area that prevents a perfect rating. Overall Verdict If you prioritize stunning oceanfront views, outstanding customer service, and gourmet dining over cutting-edge room modernity, this is the perfect place for a relaxing getaway. We would absolutely recommend the Cliff House Inn.

We spent 2 nights oct 2025 for our Anniversary. When you walk in to check in the ocean view is incredible. Yes its an older Inn. I do wish they had a microwave in the rooms. But the view was jawdropping. Seeing dolphins and seals was a joy. Heater worked fine and it was wonderful to sleep listening to the ocean. We cant wait to come back.
