Arrival Information:
Your access to Waikanae Beach Abode will be with a unique code for the smart lock, you will receive your door code at 9AM on the morning of your reservation start date you can then proceed at your leisure and check yourself in at any time that suits you from 4PM!
If you are interested in purchasing an early check-in get in touch and we can help you to upgrade your vacation to kick off early, we offer an early check in from 8AM for $80.00 (subject to availability, so don't sleep on it!)
Check out is 11AM, If you are interested in upgrading your stay with a late check out we have a late check out option of up to 9PM for $100.00 (also subject to availability)
House Rules:
Although the main rule is to relax and enjoy yourself - there are a few "housekeeping" notes we should point out!
1. We LOVE animals, and know how hard it is to leave home without your fur babies. So if you are like us, and you love bringing your pup away with you on vacation, please keep in mind the following:
- Let us know when you are bringing your dog along
- Please bring a bowl and bedding for them (and please keep their wee paws off the furniture)
- All toilet visits should be outside, please pick up after them!
-If any damage or accidents occur during your stay please let us know ASAP
- damages and accidents may incur extra charges
- The $10 per pet per night fee is applicable to dogs of any size
- take note that our property is not fenced, so you will need to keep fido on a leash while outside
2. This is an obvious one - but absolutely no smoking and/or illegal drug use inside the house. Fines will apply
3. No parties or events please!
4. Please respect the privacy of the guests staying in neighboring property Waikanae Beach Escape and do not enter that side of the fence
5. We cannot accept bookings of more than 28 nights at a time
6. The guest booking must be staying and not booking on behalf
7. Finally, please respect and take care of Waikanae Beach Abode so it can carry on creating relaxing and memorable getaways for guests for years to come!

Other things to note:
Before you arrive, you will be asked to complete a rental agreement and guest verification through third-party provider Truvi. The process takes on average 4 minutes, and is done to ensure we are keeping up-to-date with short-term rental regulations as well as providing both our guests and our properties with extra protection. Truvi will contact you via email or text to complete the process, it involves comparing a selfie with your ID and some basic questions. Please complete these steps prior to arriving at the property to enable a quick and easy check-in process. If you have any questions feel free to get in touch.
Guest Access:
There is a camera operating on the property which records footage of the driveway for security purposes.
We have two buildings on our property. Waikanae Beach Abode is the 3 bedroom home on the right (Unit 3) while the bach on the left (Unit 3A) is Waikanae Beach Escape. Waikanae Beach Escape is also available to book if you need more space for another two guests. The two houses are divided by a fence, but share the beginning of the driveway. If you have not booked both properties, please respect the other guests by not crossing over the fence or allow your dog to go over there.
The other areas that are not included in your stay are the garage under the house, or the empty section beyond the properties gate.
