I felt very welcoming when I checked in. The lady at the reception was so nice, friendly and professional. The room was very nice and clean which made my stay unforgettable. I slept incredibly well during my stay too. Lots of parking spaces and the hotel was very easy to find.

The breakfast restaurant staff were absolutely excellent very attentive to guests and accommodated any special request. However sad to say the reception lady was very cold with no emotions or connection with me or my wife during our check in process and because of this only 3 stars was given.

I made two consecutive bookings; I was unable to amend my original; and whilst they were able to put them together so I had the same room for the duration, the 2nd booking was made for me and my wife rather than just I. However on arrival at my room for the 2nd booking, despite having had to check out and check back in again, the room had not been made up. The bed was unmade, the towels were old, there was no water in the room, AGAIN. I was forced to settle my extra's bill on checking out of the 1st booking but the restaurant staff (excellent by the way, thank you Iona, Elena and Geri) had to chase me up to my bedroom to take a credit card payment for my 2nd stay because they now apparently couldn't charge to the room. I told the lady taking the payment that we were disappointed that the room wasn't made up and that there was no water AGAIN, and despite that no one came to bring us water. Disappointed.

Biggest disappointment was that the hotel has no lifts at all accessible to customers - very surprising in 2025! This means that all luggage etc. and, in our case, a baby buggy and other equipment, had to be carried upstairs to our room. It also means that anyone with mobility issues but does not need a wheelchair would have to know this in advance and ensure a ground-floor room was available for booking.

The hotel itself was very nice however the customer service could do with improvements. We wasn’t told where the room was and had to wander around to find it. The tea and coffee facilities are outdated and could do with an upgrade. On check out we gave our keys back in and there was no conversation, usually the reception asks if the stay was ok and Thankyou for staying but the staff were cold. The breakfast was fantastic and the staff working the food area were fantastic - great customer service and very attentive.
