I stayed here in March. Bought a package through Expedia. When I checked out they charged me again for the hotel. Today marks a month with over a dozen phone calls, promises to return my calls with an answer-never happened, and I’m still out $500. Ms Hawkins-the manager, told me from the beginning that it was a computer issue and it was the hotel’s fault. That the auditor was returning my money and it’s never happened. She told me today that there was nothing else she could do for me. I feel as though a theft has occurred

I had a very disappointing experience at this hotel. The front desk staff were unfriendly and unhelpful throughout our stay. Our keycards stopped working every single time we left the room, and when we asked for them to be reactivated, the receptionists gave us attitude—as if it was our fault that all three keys constantly malfunctioned. It felt like basic hospitality was missing, and we were made to feel like a burden for needing access to our own room.

Biggest negative was there was no shuttle. On their website a shuttle was indicated, but they discontinued it at least temporarily. I would stay at a place closer to public transit, the nearest was 1.7 miles away. The breakfast buffett was the same thing every day and sausage links and scrambled eggs were the only two items served hot and were a bit disappointing. Parking is $20 per day which was not surprising, but we were counting on the discontinued shuttle to get us to Union station and we had to pay to get a ride to public transport every day.

To and From the Mall

No shuttle as advertised. Bus travel nearby but not easily to the Mall area. Taxi rides were efficient but expensive. No restaurants in walking distance. Each of 3 day's 'breakfast' was the same. Noisy corner of traffic. Arboretum was within walking distance and the park was drivable if you had a car.

The person at the front desk (whose name was Angela I believe) greeted us upon arrival and was an absolute joy! We arrived late for checkin after a long flight but she made sure everything was ok with us and did such a smooth checkin. Thank you so much again! The room we had was spacious and very clean; the view we had was parking lot but we didn’t mind at all! It was calm, the beds were comfortable and soooo big (we miss them actually). The staff we met along the way were so accommodating and absolute gems! Such wonderful people! We’ll definitely come back next time we’re in DC, thank you!
