Please note that this is a basement home, I feel like that wasn’t properly conveyed in the details of the place. We could hear all the footsteps and conversations of the people above us which was very uncomfortable especially early morning and late nights. However, the place was exactly as pictured and had nice amenities. There were crumbs in the bed when we got there and the floors did not look like they were properly cleaned which I did not like as someone who is big on cleanliness. Our stay was ok but I will definitely not be booking again.

Convenient location

My partner and I stayed here while I was in DC for a conference. The property was nicely furnished and easy to access. It was clean and comfortable. The only downsides, and these are very small, is how easily noise conveys through the floor and the group of people that would sit on the corner smoking weed. They were always pleasant but still, not exactly what you wanted to be greeted by. There was a hiccup with getting the house code but I will lay blame on Vrbo for that. Our host was pleasant and easy to communicate with.

Hidden Gem

Nice little first floor place to stay. The shower was amazing, appreciated all the amenities and it was a quick Uber or scooter ride to the National Mall. Really convenient to be able to laundry and it was nice and quiet. Owner was available and responsive when needed.

It was not terrible

The place was clean but we were not informed that there would be people upstairs. You could hear everything they were saying and while they followed the quiet hours it was still very loud which took away from the overall quality of our stay. There was also a fly problem and a group of men sitting on the corner at all times. They didn’t do anything but as two women alone it was bit unsettling walking to our door. I gave it three stars because technically everything was as listed and the inside of the house was fine but the little things brought my rating down.

Visitors from the Midwest

The property was A+. Clean, quiet, just enough room for 2 people. Better than any hotel. Advice - We walk an average of 2-5 miles a day and had no problems walking to the mall. If you are not “walk fit” our recommendation is to Uber to the closest train station to start your sight seeing.
