Welcome to our spacious, private 1-bedroom/1-bathroom English basement apartment, located in DC's historic Bloomingdale neighborhood. The space has everything you need for a weekend trip or extended stay, and all the fun and excitement of the Bloomingdale, Howard University, and U Street neighborhoods that are just outside your door. Are you looking to explore a little further? Downtown, The Mall & Memorials, and all the Smithsonian Museums are just a bus ride or a short walk and a metro ride away. It is the perfect base for an individual, couple, or a small family exploring our Nation's Capital!

Guests will have exclusive access to the apartment with a private entrance. The unit features a single bedroom with a queen-sized bed and a large closet for storing your luggage. Additionally, a large couch in the living room can be converted into a queen bed, or an air mattress is available upon request. The space is ideal for two people but can comfortably accommodate up to four. Do you have a little one? A pack 'n play or toddler cot can be provided upon request.

The kitchenette features a full-sized refrigerator with filtered water and ice, a dishwasher, a convection microwave oven, a toaster, a hot plate, a coffee maker, and a table for enjoying meals. The full bathroom is modern with a hairdryer and toiletries to get you started. The apartment also features a new, in-unit washer and dryer.

Smart TVs are located in both the living room and bedroom, allowing you to sign in to your favorite apps.

A small desk and chair are located in the main living area, should you need to work during your stay.

This space is a private English basement apartment within a 1906 rowhouse. Please note that our family, which includes a young child, resides in the space above the rental. We make every effort to ensure quiet hours on the floor above your rented space; however, you may still hear footsteps. There is also a white noise machine in the bedroom, should you need it.

Ample parking is available on the street with a permit that we will provide.
The Shaw metro is .7 miles from the house. So about a 15-20 minutes walk.
