Service was great. Hotel room was clean and had a comfortable big bed. Only there one night so didn’t use hotel facilities or restaurant but restaurant and bar looked good. Valet parking was a great service but unfortunately I had to park myself but fully understand as big car and left hand drive so I was fine with this. Just got charged full price rather than self park. Otherwise a great hotel to stay in.

I love the Novotel and stay there often. Great location with easy access to Lambton Quay’s great shopping. Staff always super friendly. Rooms are nice with very comfortable beds. For the price, it’s great value :)

Parking and location not easy to access

Found it very hard to find parking near the hotel. Initial check in was very confusing as to what floors to go to for meals and access to shopping centre. A map of the city would have been great. Particularly finding the ferry terminal for transferring to the South Island.

This property needs a lot of renovations. Elevators dated, rooms dated. Bathroom in our room was poor, toilet seat needed replacing, bathtub shower has permanent marks in the tub. Remotes full of dust, did not feel like a 4.5 star hotel at all. 3.5 at best in our opinion. Breakfast very average, older guests seem to be staying there and be enjoying it overall however for 2 people in our late 20’s, wasn’t impressive. Would not stay again. Hotel well located.

Friendly and polite staff who checked us in quickly and efficiently. Really appreciated the gesture from the management as well to mark our celebration. Lovely comfortable spacious room with a beautiful view of the waterfront. The bed was very comfortable and the location is also very good. The restaurant is good for dinner however the breakfast needs improvement as it’s got a small variety and is the same every single day. Overall highly recommended.
