Pleasant Motel

The room was pretty nice for rural, northern Michigan and had a delightful lake and central green space in the middle of the rooms. It was simple but comfortable and the staff was very friendly.

We stayed here based on the reviews. There were many positive reviews and 2 negative ones. I doubt what the 2 negative reviews said. We had a very nice room. We stayed in room 18. Room was very clean and comfortable. Bed was very comfortable. As many times as I've driven by this Motel, I've never noticed it. This is a gem. I will stay here in the future when i visit West Branch. The Lady that owns it is very nice. She has owned it about a year and a half. You can tell she has put work into it... and will continue to.

Didn't use AC, as remote volume will not increase enough to hear TV over AC sound. Room is comfortable & clean. Light next to bed wouldn't turn on; asked for new bulb (which was provided immediately) & staff discovered it wasn't plugged in. ???. Pretty quiet for being on main road.

Our room was quite clean and comfortable. The property could use some "sprucing up." The coffee pot lid was broken. There was no lock on screen patio door. There are a lot of cigarettes butts outside entry door as well as leaves which got tracked into room. IF I had a leaf blower, I would have blown the area in front of customer doors a couple times a day. All in all, it was a very comfortable bed with nice pillows. The desk clerk was very cordial and friendly. The location is also convenient.

This is an older one story country type setting motel and needs to be keep in mind. If you are looking for fancy or modern this not the stay for you. Convenient parking right at your door. Room and bath older but very clean. Mattress amazing. Enjoyed the walk to the pond and swinging on the wooden swing. Many restaurants and shopping within two miles as is exit off I75. The room rates outstanding especially for a one night stay.

Very nice for what it is an old motel. The blind in the bathroom was broken and that made me uncomfortable taking a shower in there. Blinds are very inexpensive so I recommend you replace it. The lady in the front office was very kind and hospitable.

The room smelled like stale cigarettes. The sheets and shower liner were stained. There were a variety of bugs in the room and the door locking mechanism was faulty. We actually left and slept at a rest area.
