Check in lobby was very nice. Other facilities needed some repair and updating. The continental breakfast was a joke. White bread, muffins from kids muffin packages, some kind of generic cereal, and Sunny D Some staff were kind and accommodating, others were somewhat rude.

Staff were helpful but the property needed renovation. Bathroom door didn't close properly and there were broken tiles on the floor which had sharp edges. Mattress & pillows didn't smell too good. Breakfast on the first morning was almost non existent- only cereals available.

When we first arrived they had our number of days incorrect so it took a while extra to get that figured out. You definitely get what you pay for. The wallpaper was peeling off and it was musky smelling when we got there. Definitely could use some extra TLC with the bathroom cleaning.

I always love this hotel. It's well prices, quiet and I love the historical design. It's also walking distance to Colonial Williamsburg. Again, the price is amazing.

Walkable to Colonial Williamsburg if you are up for it. Directly next to Colonial Pancake House. Cute, old-fashioned motor inn. Very busy, staff were very helpful and nice. Not luxurious but gets the job done. Location was main reason for choosing. It’s older, it had little baby crickets in the tub. Could have used a cleaning in the bathroom behind the door. Probably ready for some updating, interior refreshing. I would stay there again. Price was great, booked in advance, no issues. Felt safe.

Not family friendly, terrible management, and awful customer service. Upon arrival, I was approached by a young woman, who appeared to be under the influence of drugs and was walking around the parking lot seeking a certain form of adult companionship. I did not feel comfortable staying there with my child. I spoke with Expedia to express my discomfort. Expedia customer service completely understood, apologized, and reached out to staff. However, evening staff stated only a manager could address the issue regarding a refund. Expedia followed up next day, said management would not issue a refund, and apologized again. I reached out directly. Staff wouldn’t identify their name, stated they couldn’t help me, and were unable to tell me when a manager would be available because staff “doesn’t run the manager’s life.” Spoke with “a manager” the next day, who again did not identify his name. I was told no refund could be issued because I was listed as a no call, no show. I noted Expedia reached out the day of the reservation. Management denied the contact occurred because there were no notes in their system. When I mentioned I would be writing a review, management denied any concern if I shared any of my experience in my review. They elaborated that “the 10 people who don’t come” because of my review mean nothing to the business, nor did I. I would never recommend this place to any family and would caution anyone from booking if customer service, safety, and comfort matter to you

The office person did not seem to know what he was doing and asked the same questions repeatedly. The room furniture was arranged in a peculiar manner, which made getting in to the bathroom a challenge. The bathroom and bathtub was extremely small (unlike other rooms in this motel we have stayed in during previous stays ). The breakfast offerings were significantly reduced in comparison to previous stays here. The last straw was on our return from the included "breakfast" our electronic door key would not work and we had to ask a housekeeping person to help us get back in our room.

It was a decent place to stay for two nights while we attended an event at Busch Gardens. We werent at the property much due to the schedule. It was a fine place to crash for the evening. I would be disappointed if I had booked this for any kind of leisure trip where I wanted to relax on the property.

The check in was easy however the room was by far the worst I’ve stayed in. There were many stains on the floor/ furniture. As well as broken things throughout the room. The mattress felt extremely uncomfortable and left for a rough nights sleep. The walls are paper thin so you can hear basically everything. For the price you get what you pay for but this is by far much worse then the ever expected. The breakfast was maybe 4 pieces of bread and little donuts that were dry. Don’t ever stay here.

Friendly and accommodating staff

Not a bad place to stay for a reasonable rate. The WiFi is in desperate need of upgrading though. I was unable to work during my stay because of it cutting out.
