We have stayed here many times but the last couple of times it’s not been what it used to be. The breakfast used to be DELICIOUS but now it’s not good and very disappointing. There are quite a few “little things” that maybe others would not notice but I felt used to set it apart that they no longer do. The staff there is wonderful and i can’t say enough about how wonderful they are. Hopefully things will get better…

This is our 10th stay at the Wedmore. It is the only hotel we ever stay at in Williamsburg and we just love coming here. We were excited as this trip we were celebrating our anniversary. Sadly, this visit fell short. We checked in around 5pm and after a long day on our feet, we just wanted to shower and relax. There were no towels in the room. We had to go all the way downstairs and find someone to get them for us. There was also no hot water. The toiletry selection is different as well. In addition, we look forward to the fresh croissants at breakfast. Sadly this visit, we were told they are only served on certain days now. It seems there are budget cuts here, and this visit certainly fell short of our expectations and prior wonderful experiences.

My fiancé and I loved this hotel! It has a cool European medieval castle vibe and it’s very peaceful and clean. We loved staying in the Andalucía room and we were given that room as a free upgrade. Just keep in mind that not all of the rooms have refrigerators and the showers are also different in every room, so I would recommend looking at the pictures before you decide on a room. I would recommend staying on the second floor too if you’re a light sleeper, since I could hear the wooden floors creak when we walked around the room. The daily breakfast was also delicious and the staff at the hotel is very friendly and helpful. You really can’t go wrong staying here and it’s close to major attractions like Busch Gardens and Water Country USA!

The setting is beautiful, and the area is full of great things to do. The rooms are small but nicely furnished, but you will thank yourself for bringing your own pillows. Nice stay

Beautiful location outside of town. Lovely to walk around. Room decor was charming and staff very helpful. Good breakfast. Good experience for the price -- off season, mid-week. Place is nice but a bit run down around the edges -- mold and broken handle in shower, steps/hallway hadn't been cleaned, courtyard a bit dirty. In a room on first floor, you can hear every movement in the room above.

Nice hotel. It is more like an old-fashioned in. All of the staff were great and the service was excellent. My only complaint was the breakfast, which was very limited and not particularly healthy.

Great romantic get away

Great vibe, beautiful grounds, service was excellent, located at a winery with a free flight sample. Breakfast was fantastic. Highly recommend for romantic weekend.
