Horrible Experience

The room was horrible; it was dirty and the floor was sticky. The area around the hotel is terrible and we did not feel comfortable going out at night to walk our dog. Our first morning there, a man (who turned out to be the owner) burst open our door to announce we had 10 minutes to checkout, but we weren’t scheduled to checkout until the next day. It scared myself, my husband, and our dog. After that, we didn’t feel safe in our room at all. I had to hurry to the office to double check that our checkout was the next day. The man explained that I was correct, our checkout wasn’t until the next day, and that the owner must have made a mistake. I explained to him that regardless of that, the owner should never bust open someone’s door. To top it off, the stovetop is an induction stove, no dishes were provided, and the ones we had brought just in case did not work on that type of stove. We would not stay here again, or at another of the Studio/Motel 6 locations again.

Old, but doable.

You get what you pay for. It was fine for a night which is all I needed as I had an early out of town appointment to go to. The shower head didn’t have a mount and lots of wear in tear throughout the room. However, despite the cosmetic look, it felt clean. There was also a big thunderstorm while I was out of the room for dinner. When I came back, there was a big puddle under the AC unit. But it worked and slept well that night. So again, if you need a cheap place to stay and can put up with some small quarks- this is a solid place to stay. Plus you have a full kitchen and several places to eat near by. However, if you can’t stand an old facility and expect everything to be perfectly, you will be disappointed.
