Two Cottages on the River near Acadia

Welcome to Two Cottages on the River, hosted by Oasis Rental Services. Bring the entire family to this serene Maine escape with lots of space to relax & have fun! Rent BOTH cottages for larger groups. Both cottages were completely renovated in 2024 and each are 1200 sq ft and sleeps 6 guests. They are located close to one another yet far enough apart that you have your own space. Each cottage has its own deck, grill, firepit, and more. Enjoy morning coffee with breathtaking views of the Penobscot River. Both cottages have well-stocked kitchens & plenty of linens.



Enjoy two (2) completely renovated cottages on the Penobscot River. From the moment you pull up to the cottages, you`re greeted by panoramic views of the Penobscot River that stretch as far as the eye can see. This is waterfront living at its finest. Wake up to gorgeous views every morning. Both cottages have brand new decks, with propane fireplaces, and a grill. Enjoy dinner or a drink on the deck while you soak in the beauty of the river and the surrounding nature.



Each cottage is decorated with tasteful coastal flair. Both cottages have the perfect blend of comfort and style. The cottages are private and set back from the road so you will be able to enjoy your stay in a very peaceful manner.



Both cottages have large windows allowing you to enjoy the picturesque river views from many different parts of the home. Star gaze, watch the wildlife go by, or watch the boats as they sail down the river.



Imagine having the perfect haven to embark on day trips from, surrounded by endless possibilities. Whether you’re drawn to Puffin cruises, whale watching, lighthouse explorations, shopping, hiking, visits to Acadia National Park, Bar Harbor, Camden, Belfast or Stonington, these cottages serve as the ideal home base. After a day filled with adventure, return to the serene cottages in a tranquil escape from the hustle and bustle.



Cottage on the Cove underwent a complete renovation in 2024 and is brand new. It has 2 bedrooms and 1.5 bathrooms. On the 1st floor there are two bedrooms, each with a queen bed, and a 3/4 bath as well as the washer/dryer. Upstairs is an open concept living room/kitchen & a half bath. There is a queen pull-out sofa bed in the living room. Off the dining room is the deck overlooking the Penobscot River. This house has brand new mini-splits throughout for both heating & cooling. One (1) well-behaved dog is welcome to stay here.



River Retreat was also completely remodeled in 2024 and has 2 bedrooms and a 3/4 bathroom. On the 1st floor is an open concept living room/kitchen and 3/4 bath as well as the washer/dryer. Off the living room is a bedroom with a queen bed. Upstairs is a large bedroom with 2 queen beds. This cottage is cooled with two window A/C units and ceiling fans throughout. One (1) well-behaved dog is welcome to stay here.

Guests will have access to both cottages as well as the firepits on each deck, 2 grills, and the yard. Enjoy the large firepit in the middle of the yard. We provide with you a bundle of firewood to get you started.



It is contactless check-in. You will be given a unique door code prior to check-in that will be good for the use of your stay.



The cottages are down a long driveway a ways from the street so it is quiet and private.



There is plenty of parking for all your vehicles. There are two parking spots right in front of each cottage but there is plenty of space for overflow cars.



The Penobscot River is notable for its strong tidal currents, which are swift and hazardous. The river is for viewing only, there is no direct water access due to the strong currents. Visitors can enjoy canoeing, kayaking, swimming and boating nearby.
