This is a nice property that's had love and care poured into restoring it. The property is however over-marketed (and over-priced) in our opinion. Expedia market as a 'cottage' and the pin shows a central Woolacombe location. Its actually in a holiday/residential park above Woolacombe. The park its in has a run down feel to it and the first impression was of deep disappointment. Once you've moved in then its a lovely property on the inside. The garden is communal - there is no division between 'your bit (nice picnic bench as shown in pictures) and the adjoining properties. Its quiet at night and road noise (road is 20m away) is not intrusive. The location is not convenient to Woolacombe. We cycled and walked down into town. The road is steep and is fine for adults however its the main road to Woolacombe and would not be safe for young children. Its quite a climb back out too. Walking was fine apart from the first 300m. This is again on the road - there are no pavements or verges and did not feel particularly safe - after which there is a pleasant walk past stables and fields into town. There is a bus - however the stop is after the 300m pavement less stretch. You can of course drive down. We were a couple - so did not 'value' bunk beds or the thoughtful games etc provided. If you want a base for exploring the Combes then this works and there are lots a great guest reviews attesting to a good stay.
