It was unique. However, not updated or with modern amenities. No elevators or access for handicapped. I have a torn meniscus and bone fragments in my knee. Our reservation was for a first floor room but we were put on the second floor. Stairs only. Ice machine out of order. No centra air. A unit with a pipe going out an open window. It stopped working off and on all night. After trial and error it needed to be shaken very hard several times before it would start working again. No one explained what to do when it stopped working. There was a thermostat and vents but not working or not being used. The smell from the hot spring hot tub was very strong and not great if you have migraines. Also not mentioned on the site where we booked the reservation. Not trying to be difficult but these are things a person should know before booking a room. We could have looked elsewhere but expected Best Western standards not small local unkept hotel experience. We could have booked that and supported a local hotel if there were no other options.

Historic building with its own hot-spring-fed outdoor hot tub with enough room for many -- and right near it, a normal outdoor pool for a cool plunge. The hotel is literally inside the Park. The breakfast bar is ample & fresh. The beds were clean & comfortable. The hotel is well maintained & the staff peasant & knowledgeable. Would definitely stay again!

Best Western is in above old building facing a park and steps away from the Hot Springs which most people come to Thermopolis to enjoy. Even better, it has a private spa with the volcanic water so if you don’t want to go to the public facilities you still can benefit from the healing waters.

Thr building is historic and the rooms have the vintage vibe. Looks recently renovated with unique fixtures. The only minor thing that didn't look right is a portable AC in the room, but was olay since the building is historic.

The hotel has hot spring water feeding the hot tub- fun! It’s an old original building, lots of character but also modern comforts. Friendly staff and a relaxing stay. It is right in the state park. Lots of trails in the park. Cute, quaint small town. Very friendly and relaxing!

Great property overall. It’s an old but renovated building so there are bound to be some small problems. I rented 2 rooms - one the bathroom sink was very very slow draining. In the other, the shower water pressure was very poor.

We were there 3rd July and left on 6th July. During this time no air conditioning in room. Last day got moved to other room with a air-conditioned unit though faulted out early that morning. In addition original room the water pressure was poor and no decent shower. Overall experience not good.

A very special hotel.

We were celebrating our anniversary in Wyoming. We were surprised and delighted when we arrived to find this lovely historic hotel. Not only was the hotel historic the renovation of the property was excellent, the design of the room was great, loved the setting by a river and a train track. The hotel is actually located on the grounds of a state park, the grounds were green and restful. Although we live in Colorado we would go back, just to stay in this hotel.
