This stay felt like a 2-star experience at the Ritz-Carlton prices. While the view of the lake was truly breathtaking, everything else fell short, especially for the cost $$$$$.
The cabin was highly dated and poorly maintained. The heater was old, there were no towels or soap provided, and basic amenities like a microwave, refrigerator, and even a phone were missing. With no phone or Wi-Fi, we had to physically drive back to the lobby just to request essentials. There was no coffee refill on the second day, and the on-site restaurant was closed for renovations.
We absolutely loved our trip to Yellowstone, but the two nights in the Lake Yellowstone Hotel & Cabins were a low point, and ironically, the most expensive lodging of our trip. The room was extremely basic, and for the price paid, it was a major disappointment.
Unless the property undergoes serious updates and service improvements, it’s hard to recommend staying here.
