About this space
My home is located in a quiet neighbourhood on the outskirts of York just off the A1237. Ideal for those looking to visit the city centre, as well as explore Yorkshire! We have two double bedrooms, a sunny rear garden and a driveway which can fit up to two cars. This is the perfect getaway for those wishing for a relaxing and quiet trip to this wonderful city.
The space
Inside:
All on one level, my bungalow sleeps up to 4 people comfortably, with the option of also borrowing a travel cot, if travelling with a little one.
From the entrance you'll step into the living dining room where there is plenty of room to relax on two large leather sofas. We've got a Smart TV (TV applications available for guest to use their own accounts), and wifi is free.
There are two double bedrooms, both with wardrobe space, and full length mirrors. The master bedroom has a luxurious super king size bed, and the second bedroom had a double bed.
The bathroom contains a wash hand basin, toilet and shower (no bath).
In the kitchen is all you need for self catering. Appliances include use of a washing machine, dishwasher, fridge freezer, oven, stove, microwave, kettle and toaster. We also provide a first aid kit and fire blanket.
Outside:
The rear garden is paved and catches the sun during the day. There is a lawned area too. You're welcome to use the outdoor furniture.
Parking on the driveway for up to two cars, and a garage for bike storage only. (Please notify my property management team at the time of making your booking if you'll need to use the garage.)
Welcome pack:
There will be some complimentary tea/coffee waiting for you which we are sure will be useful for those arriving after a long journey!
Fresh white bedding and towels are provided (hand towel and bath towel per person), as well as miniature travel sized bottles of shampoo, shower gel and soap. Other items included are a washing-up pack, toilet roll and kitchen roll, which will last a couple of days. If you wish to purchase more for your stay there is a Tesco Express 0.2 miles away, or a Tesco Extra 1.5 miles away.
Guest access
You'll have access to the whole bungalow and garden.
Other things to note
CHECK IN
Check-in time is after 4pm and check-out time is before 10am. A £30 charge will be requested if guests check themselves in early without permission or if guests do not check out on time as this will cause disruption to my cleaner’s schedule.
KEYS
The keys are kept within a key safe and the code will be provided 24 hours before check in. Please note that you will be charged £100 for lost keys, so please be careful with them.
TRAVEL COT
A travel cot and mattress are available to borrow upon request, subject to availability, and at an additional cost of £20. Please ensure you message before hand so that I can arrange for the installation. Guests will need to bring their own cot bedding, including a bottom sheet. (I am afraid highchair requests cannot be met).
IMPORTANT: On behalf of our host at Pass the Keys, we require guest verification facilitated by Truvi (Previously called Superhog). Upon confirming your booking, Truvi will contact the lead booker via a secure link, providing detailed instructions for the verification process.
The online verification requires a government-issued photo ID and a credit or debit card. During this process, you may choose between a refundable GBP 500 deposit (plus GBP 10 transaction fee currency equivalent) or purchase a non-refundable damage waiver of GBP 40 (currency equivalent) to cover potential damages during your stay.
Once the verification process is successfully completed, check-in information will be provided. If you opted in for a deposit, this will be refunded via credit/debit card after your stay, subject to an inspection of the property.
