Great central location for exploring York. Lovely view over the river Ouse. Room was a good size, massive comfy bed, fresh towels every day and cleaned. All staff we saw were friendly. Thought the breakfast was a bit pricey at £17.95 per person so we just walked to cafes which were all great food. The car park is very small and tight to manoeuvre in, quite stressful actually. We ended up having to park in the closest NCP car park, which the hotel does give you a discount voucher to reduce the cost which was good. Overall, a good stay.

The hotel room was fine. Very convenient area. A little noisy at night with revellers and early morning garbage/delivery tricks. The hotel management were not as helpful as they could have been with an issue we had trying to make a collect call from the hotel landline to get a travel insurance issue attended to. No-one in the hotel seemed to know what a reverse/ collect call meant? No-one in the hotel could make an international collect/reverse charge call, even though BT on their website explained how to do it.

Great stay at this property. Check in staff very helpful and we were given a room upgrade to a superior room. Wonderful view of York Minster. Hotel is in a great location to visit all the majority of tourist attractions.

The most horrible experience with Radisson so far. The window is not sound proof and the hotel is surrounded by bar, you can hear people shouting crying all night. The room facility is extremely poor with hair dryer not hot air, pillow very soft and flat. The room is very dusty and you can see the dust flying from your pillow and matress under the light speaking of which is very dim

An affordable, comfortable stay

When I received a QR code to check in I was happy that it seemed it was going to be a quick check-in so we could get into our room asap and then go out and begin our holiday. It's a good concept but unfortunately it didn't work for any of the guests attempting to use them. We managed to check in but it failed to give us a key so we had to get assistance from reception. All of the staff here are very helpful and friendly. I think they should just remove the kiosks and place more desks there as they have fantastic staff. The room itself was okay. It was very clean (besides the windowsill) and we had a comfortable stay. However, the rooms could definitely do with investment. It was very poorly lit, plug sockets were loose/squint, and the TV didn't work for us at all. Breakfast was excellent quality and there was a wide variety to choose from - well worth the money we paid for it. We made use of the restaurant's 'call & collect' service for an evening meal and they missed out a side and forgot to remove cheese for a dairy intolerance - but staff were approachable, professional and apologetic and fixed it immediately. The meal was good quality and it is a useful service to have. 12pm check out was very much appreciated. I would stay here again, however, the hotel desperately needs investment in the rooms and the outside of the property.

Overall pleasant, couple of glitches though.

Overall a pleasant stay, was given the wrong room initially so walked in on a couple. The rooms air-cons did not work, although opening the windows kept it cool enough. Good breakfast.

The staff were very friendly and i had a great nights sleep. My only problem was that the room was so small. For 119 for a night it was tiny. I needed to do work on my laptop and struggked with such a small half moon table that just fitted a teldphone. I appreciate i was in the centre of York but that room was too small. Also overnight parking at £20 is a lot!

It was very convenient and central for everything in York and a lovely location on the river. Standard room was on the small side but the bed was big and comfy and it had all the amenities we needed. It was not quiet though, even though we were on the 7th floor we could hear a lot of street noise (people and bin Lorrie’s) at 4am which woke us up both nights. Would stay again for cleanliness and location.
