Lovely Comfortable Bed, Good Breakfast

Pros: The comfy bed and the lovely breakfast, made from quality ingredients.
Cons: Updating rooms/bathrooms
Location: Very quiet and peaceful location but a good drive to York (about 25 minutes without traffic).
This visit was to enable us to drop off our daugher at the Uni in York and was also an open day weekend, so everywhere was very busy accommodation wise. Booked the Motel as although it was a good drive (over 9 miles) from York itself, it was a reasonable price and included what turned out to be an excellent well cooked breakfast. The room was somewhat dated but provided all that was needed, including a good walk in shower, fast wi fi and most importantly, a very comfortable bed with spotless linen. Wi fi was needed as phone signal was very poor. Having a place to sit outside was also appreciated. Friendly people who run the B&B/motel. Would definitely recommend.

Nice hotel and really handy for good pub grub

Pros: Nice and quiet with a real nice family running it. Plenty supplies in the room and very willing to assist with all your requirements.
Cons: Not sure
Location: 2 local pubs in the village and other pubs within a 5 minute drive in all directions, everyone of them doing food of good quality,
We stopped for 2 nights B&B to enjoy a bit of R&R and take in a bit of walking around the country lanes. Perfectly adequate for what we wanted and we met several couples had had used this venue multiple times. That should tell you something about the place?
