Pros: The resort was good, everyone was friendly, the housekeepers were very helpful. The shows the resort had at night were good. The golfcarts on the resort were amazing and the luggage service was amazing as well. Cons: there were no morning activities for visitors but it would have been nice to join one pilates class or pickleball. The paths at night were very dark and there should be better lighting. Construction was happening in a building not too far from us and we were unsure where to go, we found out after the fact that there was another path to our room. No tacos were served at the resort, which was unfortunate, the Mexican culture is a bit hidden at the resort. The room was not ready when we arrived at 3pm and check in was at 3pm. Once we got a room, the sofa bed looked dirty and we needed to call concierge to fix the sofa bed. The bathroom door was hard to open. There was a shower door handle that was very dirty. The chairs, ottoman and furniture were dirty. The details about the shopping tour provided by the resort were not explained well. The service at breakfast at Butchers was not prompt. We had lunch at the park place and the servers never came to us, but they came to the Caucasian guests (I'm a woman of color). We were informed by Karen on the last night of our stay that we had free hydrotherapy session, she stated she would escalate the issue but that never happened. I emailed guest services-no response. We had high hopes but my friend and I were let down.
