A perfect location to tour Amsterdam

We arrived early and were easily accommodated in bringing our luggage upstairs so we could go and explore the city. The hosts helped us bring our luggage up. It’s true that there are lots of stairs to the charming apartment but with help, it’s no big deal lugging bags up. And bringing them down is pretty simple. The spot is probably not the best for persons who have difficulty climbing narrow stairs or for small children but for healthy and fit persons, it’s perfect. Each day, we walked a lot and are in good shape so the stairs were a welcomed way to defend eating more wonderful local pastries. The apartment is lovely- very clean, includes everything you need, and was stocked with some tasty treats, juice coffee and milk. Very thoughtful! A vast array of local restaurants are outside the door. The location is perfect for walking to the Jordan and museum district neighborhoods. Ubers or trains are available for visits to Haarlem and other neighborhoods farther out. The hosts are outstanding and friendly. Accommodating to anything you need. I’ve saved this spot for future visits. Enjoy!!

Such a great find!

Outstanding location for a trip to Amsterdam of 4 days! We were two couples traveling together and needed two bedrooms and two bathrooms and this VRBO provided two good-sized suites along with a large kitchen/living room common area. Christy was a wonderful host, welcoming us early to drop our bags and providing great advice throughout our stay. Her daughters hefted our bags up the 4th-floor walkup while we were out exploring the city, so we returned later in the day to find the luggage upstairs and various foods and drinks waiting for us in the refrigerator--what a nice welcome! (There is no elevator and the stairs are pretty steep and curved, so beware, although these 70-year olds handled it just fine.) The tram line is just a block away with another four blocks or so away--easy to connect everywhere you'd want to go, although we did walk from the VRBO throughout Amsterdam central. Restaurants abound in the VRBO's neighborhood. From the airport was only 23 minutes--short train ride and transfer to tram. The VRBO was bright, clean, spacious, and comfortable and Christy was a joy! Just do it!

Wonderful neighborhood with many excellent restaurants. The penthouse is spacious and the hosts are wonderful and on site. Be advised, there are 64 steps to the apt. So not for the faint of heart or differently abled. For my husband and I and our 20 year old son it was PERFECT

A trip for my Mum’s 70th birthday. The location of the property is incredible. There were lots of independent restaurants near the property, so no need to worry about catering. The apartment was spotlessly clean, with comfortable beds and hotel quality bed linen. The photos of the property don’t do it justice, it feels much larger in person. Its light, airy and modern with some lovely extra touches from the owner. I would definitely return.

Beautiful 2 bedroom apartment with kitchenette for morning coffee. Comfortable king sized beds and 2 bathrooms. The hostess was very nice and helpful. The family even helped carry our luggage upstairs. Highly recommend!

Two bed-2 bath top floor unit with great location and light.

Located in central city and close to grocery stores, restaurants, public transportation and in a charming neighborhood. Spacious, Scan-design interior with large bedrooms & new ensuite bathrooms. Friendly owners that live in building and offer beautiful, nicely equipped unit. Note - kitchen lacks stove, but offers large dining table, fridge, and lots of space in a very quiet building.We had a great stay for 4 days and could have done twice that.

Great location traditional Dutch architecture

The apartment is great. Plenty of room for the 3 of us. Great area with lots of stores and restaurants. A tram station is a short walk away, which makes getting around the city a breeze. They did provide a recommendation guide which is very helpful.Getting from the airport is very easy, a short train ride to a station, then go down the stairs to access the tram that goes very close to the home.The home is on the 4th floor with very steep stairs which is indicative of original Dutch buildings. The owners did help bring the luggage upstairs, and at the end of the trip, once I had our luggage down they did offer. I know that had I needed help, they would have provided it, the hosts are very nice.If you need assistance just ask, they are very friendly and accommodating. My daughter accidentally left an item in the flat and they shipped it back to the USA for us. Would stay here again in a second, I would just pack a little lighter.

Amsterdam apartment near Vondelpark

Excellent apartment in a convenient location. My family stayed for three nights in March and thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The host was prompt in responding to our inquiries and very accommodating during our stay. The apartment was clean, comfortable and well equipped. Access is via steep stairs so may not be suitable to prospective occupants with mobility challenges, although it did not bother us. In fact the host assisted us in bringing our luggage up to the apartment, which was much appreciated. I would not hesitate to stay in this apartment again when I next visit Amsterdam.

The accommodations were lovely in a residential neighborhood. There is a coffee shop on first floor so easy to grab breakfast. The hostess had the place well stocked and even helped us with our luggage. Highly recommend.

Our place was a great area for walking with numerous restaurants. Christy, our host, was amazing, so helpful and made you feel like family. Definitely recommend but if stairs are an issue this could be a problem. But you would then miss out on a wonderful experience !

Hotel like experience at this property

The owner of the apartment met us upon arrival and even helped us with our bags upstairs. The apartment is spacious and very clean. The apartment is very quiet and conveniently located around many shops and restaurants as well as different tram stations that will take you to popular destinations such as the van Gogh museum and Anne Frank house. The owner stocked the small refrigerator with essentials meaning we didn’t have to go back out after we arrived on the first day. Air conditioner, and heat were wonderful. Water pressure in both showers were excellent. Soap, shampoo, conditioner were all included and installed just like at a hotel. Beds were both king and comfy. Couch was big enough for the family to relax which can be rare in Europe apartments. 4 chairs and a big dining table meant we could get local takeout and eat together. This is one of the only places that I have stayed through Vrbo that didn’t come with detailed instruction manual on how to check out-which is so refreshing and hassle free! When I asked the owner, what we should do she said “nothing, no problems!” We did try to leave the apartment in a clean manner, but it was nice not having to change the sheets or take out the trash. It meant we could focus on getting packed and out the door to our next destination on time. This apartment is a gem and the owner is delightful and helpful! Do not hesitate to book here where you and your family will feel welcome, safe, and comfortable. 10/10 recommend!
