Lakefront retreat on Gull Lake

Welcome to Base Camp at Gull Lake! This large property hosts a total of 5 cabins, all on the same lot backing onto a large 50x80 sandy beach with some of the cleanest water in Manitoba. Enjoy a family getaway with everyone being close by, making the most of your time together with endless activities. Rental comes with paddleboards, kayaks, pedal boats, beach volleyball, fire pits with wood, and an extremely large variety of movies, beach games, boards games and areas to make some great memories!

PLEASE READ:

Thank you for choosing Base Camp at Gull Lake for your stay. We know how precious vacation time is and we strive to ensure that only great memories are made here. We are a family-run resort and we want a family friendly environment.

Check-in time 3pm on check-in day. Check-out time 11am on check-out day.

Our lake is free of any aquatic invasive species that are present in other areas of Manitoba. ALL ITEMS USED IN THE WATER MUST BE CLEANED AND DRIED PRIOR TO ARRIVAL. This includes bathing suits, water toys, and life jackets. If you are travelling to grand beach or any other body of water in the area please do not use the same items in our water.

We do not allow personal watercraft without having a decontamination. If you are bringing your own kayak or paddle board, it must receive a decontamination. This is a free service offered at the boat launch and we will provide you with more details if you are bringing anything.

Please make sure all items are placed back in their original cabins. Renting multiple cabins may result in our inventory being off in each cabin.

The speed limit on the street is 30kph. We have lots of families out for walks and we want our guests to respect their safety on the road.

We ask for your help and cooperation in following these regulations:

● We ask that you park your car on top of the hill once you have unloaded your belongings. Please leave your car in the parking area for your stay (unless you need to drive down the lot to unload groceries and to pack when you leave).
● All garbage should be stored in plastic bags and placed in the designated area at the top of the property, please follow the signs to the garbage room. Bears and other animals are attracted to garbage so please place all garbage into our secure area.
● Please help us keep the beach clean by not littering or spitting sunflower seeds on the sand or anywhere else on the property, and please discard cigarette butts in the designated containers. No smoking in cottages, please use designated areas.
● We appreciate your cooperation in helping to prevent injury from broken glass by using plastic cups or cans at the beach.
● We are trying to keep our lake clean + phosphorous free - no shampooing in the lake. We have an outdoor shower for rinse off only.
● No diving off dock due to shallow water
● Pets subject to owners approval (ahead of time) and fee.
● The properties on either side of us are private - please respect our neighbours’ privacy by not using their beach or grounds. If you are not sure about the boundaries please ask.
● There is a Municipal Noise By-law in effect. Please be considerate of your neighbours as they are also here to enjoy a pleasant holiday. Please be mindful of noise before 7:00AM or after 11:00 PM
● Please do not use the plastic picnic tables as a cutting board or for hot items.
● We ask that you leave the cottage in a state of good repair. If you damage or break something - please let us know.
● Please respect equipment (ie: Kayaks, paddleboats, lifejackets, etc) and put away after use.

Please Bring The Following Items:

● Pillows and pillow cases
● Blankets and fitted sheets for Queen/twin sized beds. WE DO NOT OFFER LINENS. If you wish for linens to be included please advise us as this is an additional charge
● Bath towels, Beach towels, kitchen towels
● Bathroom items: shampoo, conditioner, body soap, ect.
● Firewood (if desired)

Each Cottage Comes Complete With The Following:

● Wi-Fi - password is basecamp1
● Fridge
● Stove
● Microwave
● BBQ with 1 Tank of Propane
● Kettle
● Coffee Maker
● Toaster
● Dishes and Cutlery
● Basic Seasonings (ie: salt, pepper, etc.)
● Dish soap, tin foil, plastic wrap
● Toilet Paper
● Pots and Pans
● Tv with VHS/DVD Player with large selection of movies

All Renters Have Access to the Following:
● Kayak, Canoes, Stand-up Paddleboards and Pedal Boats

There are picnic tables by each cottage and at the beach area for everyone to use, as well as chairs, and beach chairs. There is a volleyball court on the beach as well as beach toys for the kids. We also have fire pits for your use at each cabin.
