BBQ Grill, Lounge Chairs, Washer & Dryer, Wi-Fi, Smart TV. 3 bedrooms, 2 full bathrooms, full kitchen (comes complete with everything you need to cook, make coffee, etc.). Located 1 Mile from the Beautiful Gulf Coast and Beaches.

We loved our stay here! The inside has all you can need, but the gem of the property is the backyard. We loved the heated pool (so nice!), all the chairs, and outdoor seating. Our kids 16 and 18 loved the afternoons in the pool! It is a great location to get to Anna Maria Island and we did that each day, as well as enjoyed Cortez.

We had a great week. The reasons to stay here are the pool and proximity to SMI. The pool area is beautifully lanscaped, and a wonderful place to relax and take a dip in the clean heated water. The Cortez bridge is just a few minutes away and makes for a quick trip to the island. There are also some fun places in nearby Cortez too. The house is a bit of a patchwork of decor, not quite as pictured. But all the appliances are new, and the host has stocked it well and it has everything you need. We had a fun week.

Tried to communicate when the unit may be ready for a potential early check in, by emailing the host.I tried twice to inquire and received back a copy and paste reply 2 times, that guest were checking out the day we were to arrive and they would let us know when it was ready.The host never acknowledge my emails.We were waiting in the driveway around 3:00 (check in is 4:00 no cleaners present), one person we were traveling with called a number in the front yard, it was then that we were told the unit was ready.The unit served our purpose for one night, it was clean. If it was an extended stay, it could have been a little frustrating. The first of our group, upon entry, fell into the kitchen over a risen "curb", we put something in the entry way as a warning.The unit has at least three other elevations throughout so you must be very cognizant of moving around inside.The pool is really nice.

Cortez Vacation

Overall we enjoyed our 5 week stay at Barracuda, We loved the pool and backyard. The appliances seemed new and beds comfortable. This is an older home that has been renovated and rooms are smaller. The living room was pretty tight for 5 adults and the couch and chairs could be more comfortable. The neighborhood is still recovering from the Fall hurricanes and some homes and mobile homes are still in bad shape. Definitely need a car to get to beaches, restaurants and stores. Our host was very responsive to our requests.

Quaint and very comfortable

This place was awesome! The backyard is definitely the highlight for us and the reason we chose this place. The decor was so cute, the feeling homey and we were very comfortable. Having a heated pool was a game changer! It’s perfectly located between the Bradenton convention center where we had a cheer competition and the beaches. we will definitely come back!

Slice of Heaven in Cortez

The back yard is worth the price of admission alone! Wonderfully landscaped and meticulously maintained. Beautiful to look at, fenced and secluded, Great play area for the dogs and then to top it off, a heated pool! House very neat and well stocked. Easy in and out and quick access to the beech, nature walks, restaurants and grocery stores including a Detwiler's. Quiet neighborhood off the beaten path. If you are thinking about a stay in Cortez, I highly recommend this place. Kevin Daugherty

Not the Barracuda

The duplex was clean but I'm glad there were only two of us as it's small. I'm thankful the landlord had a place for us to stay. The amenities are excellent, and the neighborhood is a little loud. But the location is great for getting to and from Anna Maria. Overall, these are good, honest, and caring people to rent from.
