The parking area was well lit. The staff was pleasant. There was so much within walking distance. The only thing that bothered me was the room itself. Bedding and bathroom were clean. The carpet however smelled moldy and was very damp. We went to the store to get an air freshener. I walked around my room in my bare feet and they were black on the bottom. I’m pretty sure the moldy carpet made my allergies go crazy. I was all plugged up the entire stay.

Hair all over bathroom floor and wet towel hanging on the bathroom door. The staff was very apologetic and cleaned the bathroom but it makes you wonder what else wasn’t cleaned. Pretty sparse breakfast selection.

Best Value in Baxter!

My wife and I stay at this Super 8 twice a year when we attend the races at BIR ~ It's always consistently clean and the staff is always friendly ~ Great chairs to chill out at the end of the day and watch the 'Gateway to Up North' 371 for a little while... Breakfast is serviceable but lets face it, there's plenty of places in Brainerd-Baxter that have amazing breakfasts so we usually only have the coffee ~ See ya' next year S-8...

My mind is blown. We spent just about $200 ($188) for one night for a room that had AC that smelled like burnt hair and a lock that was literally off the hinges. I will only relate my one experiences but I’ve only stayed in a room once like that and it was about $70 in a bad suburb of Kansas City. Not an up north MN town where people vacation. This was the worst room I’ve ever had for $200 a night? We took pictures of the lock.

Good: The check in staff was great. She was very accommodating and pleasant to deal with. Bad: Normally I don’t stay at super 8 because they are not good but this place had very high ratings, surprisingly. So I thought I’d give it a chance. But I don’t know what people are comparing it to because I’d give it a C- at best overall. Stains on sheets. Was very loud in several rooms earlier in evening. Sink drain barely drained. Entrance and halls in rough shape. Hairs in washcloths. How people could rate it 5 stars on cleanliness, etc. and give this a rating of >8 out of 10 on the hotels app is crazy to me. At least it was fairly quiet through the night. Back to my original assessment of the hotel chain, won’t stay at super 8 again.

The location is easily located. The experience was bad from the lack of food at the breakfast to the shower that would not drain and dirty room, we had mold in the bathroom Only one of the outlets works I had to buy an extension cord to plug in a cepac machine.
