I'm a bit torn with this because I paid twice as much as I usually do for hotel when visiting up North as on this particular occasion I wanted to use a pool/spa area to relax. We arrived at 2:10pm to find the room wasn't ready (stated 2pm check in) and wasn't ready until 2:45pm. Gym was alright, lacking a few key bits IMO but it's a hotel gym so can't grumble. Pool, hot tub etc were all great. The room itself the shower screen was knackered to put it best, leaking water and needed seals replacing. Lastly there's a massive pot hole at the entrance/exit which if you didn't pay attention to avoid it could have caused some damage. Overall though it was good just hard to justify the price given the above vs a hotel half the price even if it lacked a pool/gym.

Great budget family hotel fab breakfast

Extremely soft mattresses and very limited evening meal with tiny pudding didn't take away from an excellent breakfast and absolute bargain price for a family. We would definitely stay here again and even plan our journey to stop here if we were going somewhere else early the next day which we were (Yorkshire wildlife park). Would go out for dinner though.

Terrible hotel would not waste my money

Arrived was told need to book leisure facilities, when we did go the pool was cold and the hot tub was not working! Then was told it was not working for more than a week. We went to this hotel for a leisure break to relax and enjoy the facilities. The bedroom were large but the bed was terrible it had a slope in the middle. Wasted break

Overnight stay

I'm a frequent visitor to this hotel and it's a well run, friendly place. On this occasion there was a bulb out and a non-functioning TV in the room, but it happens. Good food, decent breakfast options and a great shower. Decent value.

We stopped for one night while visiting family in the area. The hotel is clean and modern with friendly staff and excellent facilities. We didn't try them but the gym, pool and fitness facilities were busy. The location is good for a transpennine stop or visiting Surrounding towns

Little gem just outside Brighouse

The rooms with the balcony are fantastic. We had to ask for an extra robe as the staff say you only get one per room which is strange to me with a pool etc. The only disappointing thing we have found while staying in the hotel over the last two weeks, is the temperature of the hot tub and the indoor pool. Both are cold and the chemical mix in the hot tub is not correct. We are staying again next month and we are hoping they will both be warmer or we will have to find alternative accommodation.
