The best thing about Sun palace is the wait staff and bartenders, They were fantastic! The resort was clean. Food was ok. The bad part is the front desk agents are super pushy and use super pushy sales tactics to try and get you to go and try other resorts and book things. We got there and was sat down and hammered on going to a 90 minute thing. They even went so far as to call our room to remind about that, rather then checking on our stay. One lady said we had to bring each of our IDs and credit cards. It was overbearing and because of that we won’t go back. It’s sad, because we had such a great time with the waitstaff and how friendly and informative they were.

We enjoyed our 4th trip to Sun palace. Our anniversary dinner on the beach was very romantic. The food was fantastic as always, however we were not to fond of the changes to the Fuego menu. Bring back the bacon wrapped chicken, please...... We visited Trattoria twice for the chicken masala and impeccable service. Sun palace feels like home to us and we cannot wait to see everyone again next year!

Food excellent, restaurants very professional and absolutely an amazing experience how staff treated us, very unique. We had King size bed, very nice, the rooms were perfectly kept up thru our stay, and we were spoiled. Sun Palace is the best we had ever been to. Will go again for sure.
Huge turtles come out at night and lay eggs in sand, they weigh between 400 and 600 pounds.

The only thing I didn’t like was the waves were so big we couldn’t get in the ocean until the last day. That’s a big deal if I can’t swim thats a deal breaker.

We did a quick 3 night weekender. Checked in friday mid-day and went to Fuego first night. Wife woke up with projectile vomiting and it lasted 20 hours. Doctor came (at our expense) and determined the obvious. Food poisoning. Even after front desk summoned the Dr. no one checked on us, offered any help, nothing. We just had to wait around in our room for our ground transportation to show up, which never did. So we had to hire a taxi. However the sales pitch people called our room over and over. We have been on many trips but I wouldn't go back to this place for free. Pick another place, there are many nice ones.
