Quietly perched at the top of a sunny hillside, amongst olive groves and rows of vines, this gorgeous holiday escape is part of an old farmhouse. This bright and spacious property is one of 8 units, all finished with terracotta floors and wood-beamed ceilings. The entire Borgo is surrounded by the wonderful Tuscan countryside and enjoys an incredible 360° panoramic view over the Chianti hills.

The ideal choice for groups of family or friends, there is an expansive shared garden, a fenced swimming pool surrounded by sun loungers and a children’s playground. For family fun, there’s ping pong and table football. The farmhouse also offers a shared barbecue with a dining area and a shared wood-burning oven.

The Olmo apartment is accessed via an external staircase and arranged over the first floor of a converted barn. The property combines two units (connected by an internal door) and enjoys two open-plan living rooms furnished with sofa beds and flatscreen satellite TVs. It also incorporates two small dining areas and kitchens fitted with a coffee machine, a gas cooker hob, a microwave, a dishwasher and a fridge freezer. Picture windows in each room enjoy vistas of the surrounding countryside.

Each apartment also benefits from an independent entrance and a private outdoor space in the garden with a sunshade for alfresco dining.

Location

The property lies in the heart of the Tuscan countryside, in the province of Florence, between Castelfiorentino and Certaldo, the birthplace of Boccaccio.

This central location makes it easy to reach many of Tuscany’s cultural centres, including Siena (a 50-minute drive), Florence (a 1-hour drive), Pisa (a 50-minute drive) and Lucca a 1-hour drive). The beautiful Tuscan coastline is approximately a 1-hour 15-minute drive away from the well-known Versilia beaches.

In the more immediate vicinity, guests can visit: Certaldo with its funicular and incredible views (a 10-minute drive), Castelfiorentino (a 10-minute drive), San Gimignano (a 25-minue drive) and Volterra (a 45-minute drive). There is also a swimming lake a 3-minute drive/20-minute walk away and the Castello Di Oliveto winery is a 2-minute drive/10-minute walk. There are two supermarkets less than a 10-minute drive away.

The closest international airports are Florence and Pisa which are equidistant from the property and approximately a 50-minute drive away.
