A little gem in Chicago

What a great little motel in the heart of Chicago. From the outside it looks a little plain but the rooms are beautifully furnished and spotlessly clean. Staff are lovely too it’s a few minute walk to merchandise Mart CTA station and about a 15 minute walk into the loop. There’s loads of good bars and restaurants in the vicinity too.

Great location and good price. I have never been in a hotel with such thin walls though. I could literally hear the people in the room above me every time they went to the bathroom. Could hear every conversation in the hallways, outside our window etc.

Many reviews mention the great location and the reasonable prices here, but visitors beware, this is the LOUDEST hotel I have EVER stayed in. You will hear the neighbors talking (at normal volume) thru the paper-thin walls. You will hear the footsteps in the room above you everytime they move. If you can sleep thru anything, this may be a good hotel choice, otherwise be advised that you’ll likely be awoken multiple times. For this reason I cannot recommend this hotel.

Only gave three stars because it was super noisy all night. The outside noise and upstairs and rooms next door. The walls are paper thin and the toilet made noises all night sounded like someone had explosive diarrhea ALL night. So bad plumbing IDK great area great hotel unless you need sleep.

A decent place to stay for a night. There are plenty of restaurants nearby, including a 24/7 McDonald's across the street, and Portillo's just about a 3 minute walk from the motel. It's a little loud at night, but that's Chicago for ya.

this is a nice place but I felt deceived: when I arrived at check-in I was told there would be a $40 parking fee...why was this not noted on the site when I reserved the room, it added about 30% to the final bill, I like would have gone elsewhere if I knew that (and it the fact that this cost was hidden, make me think the management knows this too). In fact the the reservation site said the opposite: parking available (which suggest to me it is part of the room rate)

Hotel was loud, not so much road noise which i expected, but employees going up and down the stairs right next to our room. Between their talking loud, banging around, and slamming doors all day we got no sleep. The room was absolutely freezing! Close to food and shopping and it was clean but i would never stay here again.
