Inefficient from staff and parking system. Parking card shoud be validated each time and had to wait at the reception for so long. Old furniture, broken notch to change to shower. Room did get cleaning even rewiested.

This is the worst hotel Ive ever stayed at. Iur room had no phone to contact reception, windows that didnt fully close so the outside noise was constant and the bathroom had tiles falling off. We ran iut of toilet paper and reception was closed so we had none for the night. I wouldnt stay here again even if it was free. Its an old and run down hotel that doesnt even operate like a proper hotel.

The hotel has a nice veneer. On the surface, it appears well-apportioned with all the ysual amenities. However, just about everything is just a bit off. Parkibg (as mentioned by other reviews) is a mess. We got in but couldn't get into the hotel section of the underground lot. The check in girl had to come down to open the internal gates. Leaving was even worse. The hotel doesn't have a night staff and when we tried to leave at 6 am, the pay kiosks didn't work. We had to wait a half an hour for someone to show up. Fortunately, we had built in extra time to drive to the airport in Frankfurt. The hotel is not in Köln proper. Expect to drive to the city, grab an Uber or figure out public Thewas big and clean but furnishings were dated. The a/c was functional. The 3rd bed (cot) leg had a nasty habit of collapsing. The shower wand holder was broken and there was a leak under the tub. The breakfast was good. Probably the best scrambled eggs I had in Europe. The restaurant attached (not part of the hotel) had excellent sauerbraten and dumplings. The vending machine also didn't dipense product paid for. The desk clerk also couldn't get it to work. The staff was attentive and did what they could but you coukd tell they've been dealing with these issues for a long time. There is a nice bar set up in the lobby but I never saw it staffed. All in all, the hotel served it's purpose and none of the issues ruined the trip but with a few tweaks, the hotel could be very nice.

We try to park on the car park, no signs , no English, No signs in the lift finding reception. Second night could not get in to the hotel because the main door could not open and no one was at reception!

Dear Management, I am writing to officially lodge a complaint regarding my recent experience at your hotel. The events that unfolded on the night of Friday, April 12, 2024, were wholly unacceptable for an establishment in Germany. Upon returning to the hotel around midnight, my companions and I discovered that our card key was not functioning. We promptly proceeded to the reception desk and attempted to contact the number provided. Despite multiple calls, we received no response initially. Eventually, after persistent attempts, we managed to reach a member of your staff. However, the assistance provided was inadequate. We were merely directed to obtain another key for an alternative room for the night. While we were grateful for having a place to sleep, the experience was marred by the fact that my medication was inaccessible in our original room. Consequently, I experienced difficulty breathing throughout the night, resulting in considerable discomfort and sleeplessness. While I understand the absence of late operational desk and check-in procedures, I believe that emergency situations should be handled with greater urgency and care. I wish to emphasize that I intend to escalate this incident to the relevant authorities in Germany. Such oversights should not recur, as they pose serious risks to guests' well-being. Consider, for instance, the potential ramifications had the situation involved an infant instead of myself. I trust that you will take this matter seriously

Freezing cold large room

We paid extra for the larger room. Nice large room with a giant window. ** Don't stay if you like to be warm. The heat only goes to 22c. 90% of the time it was at 21c. Coming in from a day out, you had to wear your jacket. The beds were small and extremely hard. The staff was friendly and house keeping checked in everyday. The front desk did bring up extra comforter because the room would not stay even at 22c.
