Our room was fine, but poorly designed - the mattress installed on some wooden platform, a 10-inch step up from the floor for no good reason, and with insufficient room to walk the far side of it. Light switches and power sockets 3 feet or more above your head, instead of anywhere useful. Why? Silly decisions...

The room was spectacular. Beautiful view of Pikes Peak, massive bathtub, electric fireplace, great bathroom and shower. Absolutely adored our stay, but the noise from the street was terrible. You can hear everything in the hall and neighboring rooms, as well. We had some very rude guests during our stay, and I couldn't get any sleep.

This was a unique and appealing property. We stayed one night. Parking was easy and the staff was terrific. The common areas of the hotel and the restaurant were beautiful. We had breakfast in the restaurant and the food was very good. We would not likely stay again, however, as the mattress and pillows were very soft and we did not have a great sleep. This is, however, a personal preference of course. Everything else about this property was very nice.

This place is not family-friendly, it feels more suited for adults only. When we arrived to check in, the front desk employee didn’t seem to know what she was doing. Because I was traveling with my four boys, we were stared at for quite a while, which made us feel very uncomfortable. After a long day on the road, all we wanted was to rest. As we walked down the hallway to our room, there was a strong smell of urine the entire way. Once we got inside the room, it smelled heavily of marijuana. I went back downstairs to ask if a partial refund was possible since we did not feel comfortable staying there with my children, but they refused and charged me the full amount. The customer service was very disappointing. Also, be aware that you have to pay extra for parking at this hotel.

Kinship landing is a very cute spot with very cozy beds and great food options. Unfortunately, our room on the fourth floor smelt strongly like sewage. They were kind enough to move us to another room on the same after one night, but the room still had a slight odor, though not as bad as in our original room, but the whole floor seemed to smell. There was also a lot of short hairs in the shower of the new room and was clearly not cleaned well. The staff was always friendly but I wish something could have been done about the terrible smell. We also had a hotels.com gift card we were hoping to use on our stay but the hotel would not accept it despite being listed on hotels.com.

The room had an amazing view of the mountains. The food from the restaurant downstairs was fantastic. The only thing that could have been better was that the bed was too soft for me.
