The hotel is still under repair on the outside due to the hurricane ,so no pool or beach access , however there is beach access and washrooms in the adjacent parking lot . The staff are incredibly hospitable. They went above my expectations . I understand the not having a pool area , however they were working on it , and feel it will be completed soon. Rooms are a little dated , but spacious and clean . I definately would go back

I’ve stayed at worse hotels…

To start we were notified only a couple days before our arrival that the pool and hot tub were not available during our stay. Also the sliding door to the balcony was stuck shut unless you used a lot of force to open it. Apparently it has been that way for a while because the handle eventually broke while opening it. The room was ok besides the typical wear and tear, stained carpet and squealing shower head. The location was perfect for what we wanted and the view was great…

The staff at the hotel were excellent. Arriving, we noticed the pool was under repairs. The room was good but carpet and walls needed cleaning and or repair. The view was gorgeous, but had nothing to sit and enjoy. When asked if we could have some chairs for the balacony, the staff response was," You can go to Walmart and buy some". WHAT?? Plus their restaurant for evening dining was closed due to STAFF SHORTAGE. Breakfast was very good and the staff working were friendly and helpful. I would stay there when things get back in order.

There was little to no parking, and we had to run back and forth across a busy street. The bathroom in the lobby had a terrible stench, and our room wasn't very clean or well-kept. Being close to the stairwell access, we kept hearing doors chattering. Lastly, our reservation and check-in check-out was a disaster.

It was not clean. I never saw the hallway vacuumed, my bed was clean, but the rest of the room was ehh on the clean job. The pool had been shut down due to the hurricane. I found out from some other guests that had stayed there frequently for years that it was not because of the hurricane 2 months ago, it was the hurricane 2 years ago. This also shut down half of the parking lot. So, I had no problem parking the first 2 days when they were dead, but the last 2 days there were a few more people (still not a lot) and had to park behind the Tshirt store across the street, not ideal as a woman by myself. The breakfast was typical heat and serve hotel breakfast, but that area was clean and monitored by the guy who did the breakfast everyday. So, he kept it up. Really, the clean breakfast area and the amazing view of the ocean out my back door are what made it worth the stay.

Excellent place to plan your stay

The employee at the front desk (I wish I got his name!) was incredibly kind and answered all the typical questions. I had an issue of one bed instead of two and he corrected it no problem which was a relief for us! Otherwise the room was very clean and comfortable.
