The room was quite "sterile" in that it didn't have any amenities ... i.e. Ice bucket, instructions for TV and remote, limited towels/kleenex, etc. Absolutely no "frills" as far as decorations. Was more like a dorm room, waiting for us to decorate.
Also, when I tried to use the phone to call down to the desk for information, the phone didn't work!! I went down to the main floor to speak to someone at the desk to find out where I could find an ice bucket, an ice machine, a vending machine, etc. and to report that my phone didn't work. Desk attendant said he would report problem, but that it would not be addressed until the next day. We were there 3 nights, and although I reported the problem every evening, it never did get fixed! There were no vending machines, only a small "Island" around the check-in desk with a few items to buy. A 16-20 oz. bottle of coke cost $5 plus tax! The only ice machine (and buckets) was on the first floor outside the fitness room. (Very inconvenient to us as we were on the 5th floor.) Another item of concern was the house cleaning services. There was a small note on our bathroom mirror stating that room service would only be every other day, but we never saw our room cleaned once, or towels replaced, nothing in the 3 days we were there. Outside of one fella that worked nights at the check-in desk (who was very, very nice - I think he was new - and he tried to help get my phone fixed), there was not a friendly face in the bunch!
