An amazing hotel with an even more amazing staff! The breakfast is delightful, and the bed is incredibly comfortable. The hotel is located in a very secure and peaceful area, making for a relaxing stay. I truly recommend this hotel to anyone visiting the area.

Stunning hotel in a great location

The hotel and rooms were spotless, The staff were friendly and attentive but not overly attentive. The view from the room was absolutely stunning and the location of the hotel was perfect for our needs we will definitely stay here again if we're ever back in Dong Hoi

Wonderful place to stay.

We can not thank the staff of this hotel enough. My husband was quite unwell on our arrival. We we able to organise an earlier check in time. The next day he was no better so they organised one of their staff to accompany him to the doctor/ hospital for treatment. The ammenties are excellent, foid amazing, service above and beyond. Thank you so much, Meilia Vinpearl. An amazing hotel for an excellent price.

Excellent service

Lovely hotel, as I’ve come to expect of a Meliá Vinepearl. Wonderful front desk staff - warm, welcoming, and just a delight. The hotel is clearly an older hotel/building, but kept well. The rooms are well laid out, with everything you need, and a super comfy bed. I had a city view (as opposed to a river view) which was still spectacular, maybe because I was on a high floor. There’s an inside and an outside restaurant next to each other on the 6th floor. For some reason, they have separate menus, but you can order from either. Having one combined menu for both would be better in my opinion. The food I did have was very good. I particularly liked the seared tuna. Wonderfully cooked and presented. The bar drink were a little pricey, and (unusually for a Melia) there’s was no 2-4-1 happy hour, but their cocktails were well made. There’s a really good gym. Spacious with lots of new equipment. The spa was very expensive, so I didn’t use. My only issue was the lack of an outside area. Even the pool is inside, so there is nowhere to sit outside and sunbathe. There are a number of interesting new developments in the city (some completed, some not) including at least one 5 star which has rooms with balconies overlooking the sea, and an outside infinity pool. This wasn’t open when I booked, and I appreciate its personal preference, but I suspect most western travellers would prefer a hotel with an outside area. It’s still a wonderful hotel, so definitely recommend.
