As an historic hotel it is stone construction with original wooden windows and doors. Was very difficult to get warm in room with the window heat pump unit. Upstairs room was very noisy with stomping about until 10:30 at night . Events were planned and announced but cancelled without notice. (Live music and night parade)

Hotel has gained the significance of being historic, so can get away with a lot of shabbiness. We did not get as nice of room as paid for.Our room was freezing..the bathroom was so cold, couldn't bear to take a shower. It was borderline clean..dirt on window sills..trash under bed. The one good thing, the bed was very comfortable.
