Old and Beautiful (with ear plugs)

The hotel is old and historical. In its youth I imagine it was gorgeous! Unfortunately, old things take a lot of upkeep and I’m not sure this hotel gets enough. The vibe is cool but the floors are very squeaky and loud. I heard the people in the room above me until late in the night. Because the hotel backs up to a large hill, the trash pick up and recycling is in front. The morning we left, I was startled awake by the sound of so much glass being dumped into the trash truck at 6:50am. It would have been really nice to sleep in a little bit.

Not a good experience

Upon arrival, we are excited because it’s a very cool looking, very old hotel, but it went downhill from there. Absolutely no parking except a small area to unload your car and you are given 10 minutes. The lobby is dark and drab and uninviting. Front desk receptionist was very unfriendly.Our room on the fifth floor was painted a dark dreary color. The bathroom is so tiny, there is absolutely no room for your cosmetics. But the worst part was a wedding reception was held on the sixth floor and we were on the fifth floor. The floors squeak and cream so bad that we could hear every single footsteps. Plus they were moving furniture around and rolling carts around. Let’s just say we got no sleep that night. We complained to the front desk and we were told they would look into it. It wasn’t the wonderful experience that we expected.

It was great! We had a spa day & it was amazing!!! We enjoyed the food & drinks. They were a little expensive, but read the fine print on your ticket!

I loved the location of hotel. It’s not perfect, but they have done a great job of fixing the place up while keeping the nostalgic feel. Our room was super clean too. The free shuttle service is amazing! Can’t wait to visit again!

4 PM check in at 11 AM. Check out just doesn’t work. Given the fact given the fact you can’t even park with a half mile the property. The. Front desk staff was not friendly just accommodating. Actually the seemed miserable.
